I realized that I posted in the Favorite CDs thread what I was listening to, not my favorites.
I am currently listening to Charlotte Martin's On Your Shore. She's kind of a Kate Bush rip off but I like her.
I am also listening to Tori Amos' Greatest and Gwen Stefani's Love, Angel, Baby, Music for fun.

I'm listening to Petra Haden Sings: The Who Sell Out, which my wife just brought home from Tower Records, and it's fantastic! Petra sings the entire album acapella, even doing the instrumental parts with just her voice...she's very talented, to the point that I'm even liking tracks I didn't particularly like when The Who performed them on the original album. If you have a chance to hear it, give it a listen...it's really great!

While I'm here I may as well share the Roxette love.
Damn it all. Why did I ever let them get away from me?
I decided to pick up my copy of "Joyride" to listen to in the car, and I forgot how much fun Roxette was. And damned if Marie Fredrickson does not rock!!!
So, then I went back old-school and picked up my copy of "Look Sharp!", listened to it, and wondered how I thought I was ever too "mature" for this stuff. Just the fun, bubbly pop sound, the sharp, tangy lyrics...mmm can't wait till I get over this cold to listen and enjoy all over again.
Roxette...I love you. Come back, pretty please? Be the leaders of the great comeback of good pop music? I swear I'll never forget you again. Never ever ever. I promise.

Just watched the movie again last night, so I had to start listening to the Donnie Darko soundtrack.

Roxette! Oh god, I used to LOVE Roxette! Really great and catchy pop songs and heartfelt ballads (except for that one from Pretty Woman, because I've heard it too many damned times.)
I'm listening to the Chilli Peppers, "Scar Tissue". I don't care if they're supposed to be total assholes, I've been a fan since Bloodsugarsexmagik and they rock.

I have not taken The Killers, Hot Fuss out of my CD player since I got it like a month ago. I just can't get enough of this album, it's killer!

My friends and I have decided that we are leaving for two months this summer to become groupies for Cross Canadian Ragweed. Love, love , love them.
