I just bought the new Depeche Mode album, Playing the Angel, yesterday and it's really good. I love it! But then, I love Depeche Mode. I can't wait for the concert next month!

A few weeks ago, I bought the new Weezer album and of course it's excellent. I love Weezer. I just hate the fact that they play "Beverly Hills" on the top 40 stations. I hate when bands go mainstream.

I had four hours of sleep. Had to be at work by 5:30. Hair greasy. Upset stomach. Popped on Ziggy Stardust and all was well. Nothing like listening to Bowie, very loud, while driving on dark, empty streets.

The new Sigur Ros is amazing. Makes my skin all bumpy-like.
Amadou & Mariam have been in heavy rotation in my car.

Me too! I "discovered" them this past week on SNL. I think this was the first time a live tv performance inspired me to go out and buy an album - especially for a group I really hadn't heard of before. Really - they sound so much different from most of the stuff out there right now - although they really remind me of the Beattles.

I'm in the middle of a little alternative female singer/songwriter phase - Sarah Slean (for those who have never heard of her, she is AMAZING. Seriously. And I get to see her live for the -third- time this year on November 29!), Tori Amos, and I'm finally getting around to listen to PJ Harvey after she was recommended to me by a friend earlier in September. "Good Fortune" is such a great song.
