Currently listening to the INXS "Switch". Way better than I expected. "Devils Party" has been stuck in my head for days now.

Currently switching back and forth between Bullet in a Bible (live Green Day CD), Made to Love Magic (Nick Drake rarities), Funeral by the Arcade Fire, and The Kinks Live at the BBC. I like what I've heard from Confessions on a Dancefloor, so may be tempted to go out and purchase my very first Madonna CD EVAH! (I'm 40)

lixxie, I, too, am in the middle of alternative female singer/songwriter thing! I just bought PJ Harvey's "Uh Huh Her" and Ani Difranco's self-titled CD. I love them both. PJ Harvey's music haunts me.
Can't wait for Extraordinary Machine, but I'm getting as a Xmas present, so I can't go out and buy it. D'oh. And, yes, I am still stuck in the 90s. So there.

Been listening to a lot of Tommy February6 lately. It's a stage persona of Japanese singer Tomoko Kawase, and the songs are cute and catchy 80s-style pop. I'm convinced Gwen Stefani ripped her off a little (besides the music, there are usually around four white cheerleader backup dancers in the February6 video, sort of an inverse Harajuku Girls).

I got an ipod nano for Xmas (Yes, I know I am behind the times and have since discovered that 14 hours of music is just NOT enough for me), and I've loaded it up with all kinds of tunes since the holiday. Right now I have just found a one hit wonder that I love, The Way by Fastball. I had to search earnestly for it, 'cause I couldn't remember the band or the name of the song, only the lyrics. But, I found it, and I'm quite happy.
I have everything from Blondie to U2 to The Grateful Dead to The Dave Matthews Band to Primus to Aerosmith to Eminem to Stevie Nicks to Gloria Gaynor to Dead Kennedys to Sinead O'Conner to Willie Nelson. Etc times infinity. ;D

David Hopkins over and over and over again. If you're a fan of elegaic, tunesmith style music check him out, especially Jackson and Amber and Green. EVen if you're not... I'm usually not but I'm addicted to this. Absolutely gorgeous.

Right now Dredg's Catch Without arms is in heavy rotation on my Itunes. Followed Closely by James Blunt (he sings pretty), Jamie Cullum and AquaLung.
And "Push the Button" is truly ear crack. I cannot get enough of that song.

I'm flipping between My Morning Jacket's Z, Arctic Monkey's Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not, Damien Marley's Welcome To Jamrock and Girls Aloud Chemistry.
*applauds the acknowledgement that Push The Button is ear crack*
