Rock Star Crushes

Pretty much twitter and facebook have killed all my rock star crushes. The mystery is gone, and these men are just as dorky as anyone else I dated. I think the last straw was when Slash said on twitter that we should watch his neighbor Paris Hilton's reality show. SLASH! I was like "Man I really thought you were cooler than that".

Duh, this is so cliched, but I'm reading Heavier Than Heaven, on going back and relistening to Nirvana and I love me some Kurt Cobain. Today is the 20 year anniversary of the release of Nevermind, btw. . Obviously, the heroin habit is problematic, but on good days, he was so freakin' hot. I just keep thinking what if he hadn't done it.

I agree totally. Most of them seem to still have the maturity of 15-year-olds, particularly the older ones. Or you find out that they're really into fantasy football just like all the idiot dudes around you. Kills any fantasies dead.

I don't have a facebook or twitter,so whatever.I tivoed the pearl jam doc wwow Eddie was pretty pretty.Sorry it was on pbs.

The classic rock station has a "Making of..." program in the afternoons and today's album was Quadrophenia which made me remember how hot Roger Daltrey was back in the day. Of course, looking at photos taken in the last twenty years promptly squashes that memory, but boy, he sure had it in spades at one time.

I watched that. With my mom. We both giggled about how strong my Eddie Vedder/Stone Gossard/Jeff Ament crush was back in the day. Mom swears she still has the giant poster of Eddie in his corderoy jacket that was hanging over my bed, but just isn't sure where she put it.

It was awesome reliving those good ol' grunge days, and damn if I don't still have a crush on them. It might not be as intense... not in a "OH MY GOD MOM! HOW COULD YOU LOSE TRACK OF THAT POSTER!?!?!?!" kind of way. But they still put a big 'ol grin on my face everytime they pop up in a magazine or on a random show.

I respectfully disagree. While his face has gotten craggly, his body is still smoking, especially given his age. Yes, my Daltrey crush will never die.

Yeah, Daltrey is still pretty hot--especially compared to his aging peers.

Yeah, Daltrey is still pretty hot--especially compared to his aging peers.

He's not bad, but I prefer to look at latter-day Clapton or Frampton. I never got the lust for either of them back in the day, but once those guys hit their fifties, wow!
