I have a friend who LOVES Dave Grohl, the autograph he signed for her is hilarious and sweet. He grew up in the same neck of the woods I did, and even attended the same high school (years before I did) that I went too.
Myself? I just adore him. He seems really nice, down to earth, and has managed to gracefully navigate being in two of the biggest rock bands (including the "Voice of a Generation" rock band) without having his head up his ass.

I can't wait to watch the induction ceremony at the HOF. (And I admit it: I'm dying to see if Courtney behaves herself) From everything I've read, she did indeed and pronounced that the hatchet has been buried, as a caption to a photo she posted of Dave and her hugging. Also, she and Krist Novoselic had a mini love fest in a Twitter exchange. I'm not confident, however, that she won't get all riled up about something and this will all go to hell again. For now, my teenaged self will enjoy that all is right in Grunge World. I did see some pics on wireimage and Dave was adorable posing with his wife while cradling her pregnant belly; he looked so proud and happy. He's such a good guy. I've always found him attractive but his family-man and nice guy ways just adds to the, "Awwww, Dave" factor. And slightly off topic: it's crazy to me that one of "my" bands is now in the HoF. This goes in the "I'm Getting Old" files. |

I gotta say, after watching the Get Back documentary, bearded Paul McCartney has become my new thirst trap. Weird, because I hate beards and Paul’s my fourth favorite Beatle! |

I have a new crush (bye bearded Paul)! After seeing Steve Lacy at the Grammys last month, I'm utterly charmed by him and "Bad Habit" is a unique ear worm from a talented musician. He's openly bisexual (yes, you can be black and LGBTQ!) and seems to love dogs. I stan him and would marry him in a heartbeat. That is all. |
