Drew Barrymore just said, "Ladies and Gentleman, Lily Allen". She performed Smile first and Alright in the second segment.

I love Lily Allen! I just got her CD. Knock Em Out is so hilarious. I made my friend get it on iTunes so we could listen to it before we went out. "No not in a million years, you're nasty, please leave me alone" makes me laugh everytime. I love her lyrics, and that she has a song about her grandmother, about her brother smoking pot, and about pimps & crackwhores. I find the whole CD catchy and hilarious.

I'm going to see Lily tonight in Atlanta. I'll make sure to update with how it went!

Oh it was super fun, footballerswife! She had a full band with her and they were really tight. She sounded great and was hilarious on stage too. She did shots and had a roadie bring her cigarettes too, but it didn't impair her at all. Her voice in person sounds a bit like Gwen Stefani's, and the reggae/ska vibe was in full effect. Mostly they did songs from "Alright, Still" but there were some covers thrown in there, like "Heart of Glass" and a Keane one ("Everything's Changing.") They played for almost an hour and a half, including encore.

That's awesome! That's good she played a long set, too, because I have friends who've seen her and said she didn't play for long at all. I really wish I had gone, but I live an hour and a half from Atlanta, and I already went to a concert there on Saturday night.. I just really couldn't justify going back again to another one so soon. I'm glad you had fun, though.

Amy Winehouse's album debuted at number 7 on the U.S. charts. Not bad for a British act.
It took Corinne Bailey Rae almost a year before her album made it to the Top 10 thanks to an appearance on Oprah.

Wow, number seven is pretty impressive. I read somewhere that she's number one on Itunes, too-- not sure if that's true.

I love Amy. Her voice is great and I love her attitude. I love true bad girls not the ones that only do bad things to get more exposure. She's a ballsy babe with a voice that has a million stories to tell.
