The worst of the worst?? Darryl Whorley ("Have You Forgotten" and "Awful Beautiful Life"). Also, his wife? She be ugly - fo' real ugly.

Oh, geez, I don't care HOW great a job is, if I had to listen to country at work all day, I'd quit within a week.

And total agreement to "Lose My Breath". I positively loathe this song. The singing isn't necessarily what annoys, it's the jacked up beat.

Pretty much agree with the lot of you.

I think though, I'm in the minority with my choices, and those are Kelly Clarkson's latest songs. Now, maybe I'm the idiot, but I truly hate both of them for simply not making a whole lot of sense:

"Breakaway": So, why do I care? What is this girl really doing that she thinks she's going to be a success elsewhere? Saying she just has to leave to easily the most annoyingly trite chorus I've heard since God-knows-when, but doesn't say what she's going to do. Why should I root for that?

"Since you've been gone": This song just irks me because among the chorus ("I can breathe for the first time" and "Now I get what I want" Dunno, seems to me she was happy when they were together. And when she thought she had him, that was what she wanted), the bridge ("shut your mouth, I just can't take it"...come on now, if she were as satisfied with herself as the lyrics suggest, then she can damn well take it, all right) and the fact that she doesn't have enough "oomph" in her voice to deliver the chorus in a tougher way (she needs more Melissa Etheridge-sort-of-growling to get the right point across), the whole song just makes me think it's amazing Kelly has a second album....I'm just not impressed.

Sorry to get so nitpicky, but when songs tell me at least two different things, or are confusing, I just don't like them, and worse, I get mad at them.

One song that I. Just. LOATHE is "Mr. Mom" by Lonestar. It's about a guy that loses his job and he whines about

- Pampers smelling in the Maytag drawer
- Crayons going one drawer higher
- Rewinding Barney for the fifteenth, sixteenth, and eighteenth time (I guess "seventeenth" isn't catchy enough)
- Sweet potatoes in his lazy chair

And then at the end of the song, he's relieved that his wife is home.

What a pantywaste.

My Kelly Clarkson hate stretches back to her Idol days (I hated all the people from S1 though), but I hate Since U Been Gone most of all. Its horrifically shitty songwriting ("Since u been gone/I can breathe for the first time/I'm so movin on" ?? WTF is that?) The title alone irks.

I also think my own personal Hell would have Maroon 5 on repeat all day. Those songs make me want to stab myself in the ear with a blunt object.

STOP WHINING YOU ASSHOLE. Phew, had to get that off my chest. Not sure who sings it, Shannon Noll? During the Summer I worked in a place where the radio was on all day. That song was played twice or three times an hour. I don't usually mind whiney or soppy songs but this song sends me into a fit of rage.

Also any of Brian McFadden's "songs", I find him totally repulsive. Yes, everyone is going to take you seriously now because you have a shaggy haircut and wear ugly old-men jumpers. And what's with the rosary beads? I thought you you eschewed the religion they "beat into you". Seriously, Ashlee Simpson has nothing on this poseur.
