That song "Baby Mama" by Fantasia. JUST. DIE. "Soldier" by Destiny's Child. Pretty much anything by Destiny's Child. They invent new levels of suck with every song that they put out. "American Idiot" and "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" by Green Day. Seriously. I loathe these songs with the fire of a thousand hells. So many more that I can't even think of them all. I live in the South and there are about 55 R&Bull and hip-crap stations and all they play all day long is garbage. All the rock stations play is Green Day. I've learned to ride in silence.

I think the Pampers are melting, rather than smelling. This song is definitely overplayed, though.
My current hate song is Alan Jackson's "Where I Come From." It always makes me want to ship him back there in a plain brown wrapper to learn some manners.

That one is from a couple years back. It's cute but does make my "kind" look like dumb hicks. You should really find time to hate his new song. Definitely worth it.
ETA: If I don't want to look like a dumb hick, I really should learn me some typin'.

Long, long time ago.... *ownlife switches to static*
I hate "American Pie." Die Pie! I love "Vincent" though, go figure.

I hate "American Pie." Die Pie! I love "Vincent" though, go figure. I agree with this wholeheartedly. The latest song I hate is "Be the Girl" (or whatever it's called) by Aslyn. First off, I wanna get all grade-school and call her Ass-lyn. Second, she has that whiny voice. And third, she has the worst over-enunciation this side of Michelle Branch.

Got another one!
I HATE "Welcome to my world" (or life, don't remember, don't care, never want to hear it again).
If you have a guitar, you are NOT ALLOWED TO WHINE. If you whine you should have your guitar privileges taken away.

My radio button divers: Sign me up for American Pie! also: Hotel California Wildfire (Michael Martin Murphy) Desperado Chevy Van oh, and Elvis' immortal In The Ghetto.
Now I have to go bang my head against a wall.

Ah, who can forget Wildfire. The favorite song of mid-70s prepubescent horse-crazy girls.
Did the same guy also do the execrable Guitar Man? "He can make you laugh, he can make you cry... (Wah-WAH wah goes the guitar) He can (something mumbled) he can make you high..." This guy sounds so wimpy any REAL guitar player of the time could have easily brained him with a box of kleenex.
A sure-fire channel jumper is Carly Simon's You belong to Me. "Teeeelllll her, teeeellll her, you belong to me..." No you tell her bitch. The melody to the song is clunky and grating, and I hate the gratuitous 'mellow-jazzy' sax solo. Everything awful about late 70s pop.

Guitar Man? Lordy! There's another one!
No, I checked; that was David Gates of Bread. The favorite band of late-70s depressed about their lovelife in their mid-20s girls.

I just found this thread and it's like my own little support group. This is going back to posts on the first page, but I just had to say something. That "Break My Stride" song? There's a cover of it now. Just slower and with a woman singing. I wish I could tell you more, but the moment I hear it I lunge to change the station.
And AmyLuna, do you live in or around Brussels? Because that "Four to the Floor" song is just busting out every time I've got the radio on. Another song to make you want to throw yourself under moving construction equipment.
