On "Without a Trace" last week, they played some Coldplay song at the end of it. And I screamed "Nooooooo!!!!" Coldplay really is U2 for morons. Well when U2 wasn't recycled crap on a stick. After many years of ignoring my country music CD's, I threw in my Dixie Chicks CD's. Wow, they really are pop country. Completely and utterly disposable. Especially when compared to Johnny Cash. Even Garth Brooks has some great songs, especially at the beginning of his career. The Dixie Chicks? Not so much. Which Chicks CDs are you talking about? I love them all, but the Chicks do beautiful hardcore bluegrass on their later albums, and, frankly, I think it's a crime to lump their work in with the shite Nashville generally puts out. "The Emancipation of Mimi" sucks. Hard. No, Mariah hasn't made a comeback and I'm tired of hearing her shite on the radio and also hearing about her numerous Grammy nominations, Billboard awards, etc.

Hell to the yeah! I caught a Journey special on VH-1 a few years ago, and I was flooded with great memories of listening to my uber-cool Sony Walkman (AM and FM, thank you very much) that I had in elementary school.

I'm afraid, Sunnyhorse, my friend, when I am speaking of the Dixie Chicks and their pop country disposable-ness, I am referring to all three of their studio albums. Their last one is a step above the other two, but it's still just as disposable.
New Unpopular Opinion - I was watching vh1 this morning and Jamie Foxx is in yet another hip hop video. I thought he was an actor. Is he suddenly now a double threat like JLo? Next thing you know he'll have cologne and a clothing line. Anyway, it's kind of annoying and I actually shut the TV off.
