Don't apologize! One of my great pleasures is putting the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack (most of the songs, anyway -- some of the non-Bee Gees ones suck) in the CD player on a summer-evening drive -- takes my back to my childhood!

I don't care what any of you say. I love U2 always. They will be my rock and roll boyfriends FOREVER! I actually cried when they got inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

And I'm a huge fan of Martina McBride. I play her latest, "Timeless", endlessly. Her voice gives me chills.

Yup, me too. I won't change my mind even if their next 5 albums are as bad as the last one was. I won't change my mind even if people keep talking about how pompous Bono is. I will always love them. It's an unconditional thing at this point.

Bono IS pompous, but he has a right to be. He's a ROCK STAR, man! I dig U2.

Embarrassing as it is in some ways, I too love U2. I do not like the pressure Bono puts on political leaders, but I like their music. To date I have seen U2 in concert 4 times. In my teens for both the Boy and War tours, as well as The Popmart tour and the one after Joshua Tree. They are unbelievable for a bunch of guys who until about 10 years into their career (The Joshua Tree) could not read music.

However Bono needs to stop being so preachy, Adam Clayton needs to stop being sooo drunk, and Edge needs to get back to hitting the guitar strings instead of playing them. Larry on the other hand-he is great!

Of course, I like Dokken (like Mr. underjoyed--where is my download anyway, underjoyed?), Iron Maiden, and Duran Duran and Green Day. Take anything I say with a huge grain of the salt that comes after the tequila.

I just downloaded a bunch of John Denver songs onto my IPod. Yeah, you heard me. Deadhead/punkgrrl loves John Denver... wanna make something of it?

In my defense, my (deceased) uncle loved John Denver and used to play me Beatles and Denver songs on his guitar all the time when I was little. So I get a bit teary when I hear Rocky Mountain High (in Colorado), because it was a huge part of my childhood.

John Denver! Somebody new to add to my pending download list. I started keeping a list of songs I want to download because I'd forget them otherwise. So far my lists have included Britney Spears ("Toxic"), the Statler Brothers, and The Carpenters. Yeah, I have geeky tastes...bite me!
