It's ON, Sunbaby! twitter.com/CHRISCORNELL: The 12 year break is over & school is back in session. Sign up now. Knights of the Soundtable ride again! www.soundgardenworld.comSpin: In October, all four members of the band reunited backstage at a PJ concert in Los Angeles, and Cornell even joined Eddie Vedder and Co. onstage for a rendition of "Hunger Strike," their 1991 hit as Temple of the Dog. Watch video of the performance right here.
The L.A. show served as catalyst for the full-on reunion, and now Soundgarden are plotting a tour for 2010. And that's not all: according to Billboard, Soundgarden are also in negotiations to perform at several major U.S. and international festivals.
The tour will be planned around Cameron's duties with Pearl Jam, who have live concerts scheduled for spring and summer 2010. No word yet if the band plans to record new material, but Cornell has long discussed a greatest hits album and/or a new boxed set, which would include never-before-heard studio material.

I used to flove Soundgarden back in the day but this news does nothing for me. I got so turned off by Chris Cornell's recent music and his moved to the desert and all the tanning.
Also, I'm really tired of all the reunions lately. If you saw footage of the Jane's Addiction reunion tour it sure looked like they were just going through the motions. I would never pay money for that. I saw them back in the day. It will never be the same again. Deal. Do I sound bitter? No, just realistic. Most reunion tours are just a big meh to me.

hal9000 - just saw that Hunger Strike video on YouTube, and damn I felt chills!! Chris still sounds great. I never liked his solo stuff - he's always been better fronting a band. I felt like that about the Stone Temple Pilots reunion too. But I don't know - I thought a Soundgarden reunion was a longshot but I was proven wrong. And who knows - maybe Axl and Slash will reconcile and we'll be able to see the original five-piece from Appetite for Destruction again.

At the very least it will keep Chris Cornell from assaulting our ears with his solo "work".
I'd be more excited to see Stone Temple Pilots to be honest. I just re-bought Tiny Songs from the Vatican Gift Shop on itunes* and I forgot how awesome that album is.
*Where the hell did all the CDs I bought in the 90s go anyway???

Soul ll Soul's "Back to Life". That song would just haunt me back in the day. The vocals and the beat were contagious!

Buffalo Stance was one of the first songs I downloaded to my iPod. Me, too! I really want to download the whole Raw Like Sushi album when I get the spare funds. I practically wore my CD out.

I love Buffalo Stance as well. When MIA got all that publicity for performing heavily pregnant at the Grammys I scoffed, all 'whatevs, Nenah Cherry did it 15 years ago'.
