I just had to say, when I read this and thought about it, I almost spit out my gum from laughing so hard.

And while reading the original quote and your subsequent comment out loud to my husband, I was laughing so hard I think got some of the anisette cookie I was eating at the time in my nose.

I then made it worse by imaging some teeth scraping or something and Uncle Joey saying, "hey Alanis, Cut. It. Out" complete with hand gestures.

I hear you. And the more I hear that song, the more I'm reminded of the type of woman or girl we've all known at some point in our lives. You know, the one in a relationship with a douche who won't listen to common sense and doesn't want your advice. She just wants you to listen as she goes on and on and on for the umpteenth time about her love woes. Worst of all, she sees herself as some sort of love rebel for disregarding everyone's advice 'cuz they don't know love, they can't feel love the way she does.

And she sighs a lot. When you're trying to get some work done.
