It’s annoying me that the media is framing this as him hiring a prostitute, the women involved were trafficked and had zero choice in the matter. Hiring a prostitute when both parties are consenting doesn’t really raise my eyebrows, a billionaire frequenting a seedy spa where women are being exploited is another matter entirely....

Good for Andrew Luck. 29 years old and chose life over sport. Four years of endless rehab? For who, for what? I still remember a profile ESPN did on Jerome Bettis and it took him 20 minutes just to get out of bed. And watching him getting down the damned stairs in his house? The Tim Green 60 minutes interview broke me. The list is long of too many bodies and brains broken by sport. I get teary thinking about Paul Kariya and Eric Lindros. I make jokes about Sidney Crosby being 'the tender-headed one' but he can hang them up too. He's won for his country and his team.

Double post but it's been a minute. So happy for Coach Jimmy Johnson. I was absolutely bawling. I don't know what took so long but I suspect Old Jerry had something to do with that. The 90s Cowboys were something else. HOW BOUT DEM COWBOYS!

Katie Sower of the SF 49ers is the first female, openly gay assistant to coach in the Super Bowl.

I'm rather antagonistic to NFL, but Mr Chonies' home team are the KC Chefs, and I look forward to hideously salty and cheesy crockpot Superbowl snacks. And saying Superb Owl and "Kitty Half Time" ad nauseum.

And saying Superb Owl and "Kitty Half Time" ad nauseum. Same (re:NFL), but I have become somewhat of a Seahawk fan. Since almost everyone in Seattle will be cheering for the Chiefs (or rather, against San Francisco), and also at least a third of my Twitter feed is still from Wichita and therefore Chiefs fans, it should be fun. I also enjoy the commercials, even though they all get released ahead of time on YouTube now.

It seems a good number of St. Louisians have adopted the Chiefs after the Rams’ unceremonious departure. Super stoked for our cross-state brethren.

I enjoy seeing smaller market teams win.
