Wow! I guess the Good Broncos showed up. I believe they are 3-3 now and all 3 wins came down to Jason Elam's boot.

(Well, duh! that was me. I was in so much shock over the Broncos win I forgot to log in. And I can't go in and modify. My bad.)

Does anyone know exactly how many minutes the Skins' offense even played yesterday!? I have such disgust for Al Saunders and Jason Campbell. Is there a way to practice 2nd halves specifically? I don't know. Seriously, are the Skins smoking up during 1/2 time?

Nobody wants to talk about the Giants-Dolphins in London? The fish lost (again ) but I'm still not entirely sure why the NFL thinks the world gives a crap about American football.

I don't understand Roger Goodell's fascination with playing games in London and even hosting a Super Bowl there. I thought that outside of Germany, NFL Europe was a miserable failure. And I really don't understand placing the game squarely in the middle of the season.

It was a miserable game period. Terry Bradshaw said it best yesterday that the league should be more focussed on bringing a franchise back to Los Angeles rather than expanding outside North America. Any thoughts on Ralph Wilson moving the team to Toronto? I like Buffalo and they need the team more than we do, plus it would kill the CFL in Toronto.

I would have loved to go to that game...but the tickets sold out in like 90 minutes (I heard about it too late!) There were 90,000 people at the game. So from that perspective I am sure the NFL thinks it was sucessful. I also think that London's mayor played a huge role in bringing the game to Wembley. He has done a lot of work to get London seen as an international player in the sports world (see his work to get the 2012 Olympics, the beginning of the Tour de France in London this year.) It was all over the radio that they want to do it again next year.

We were very, very confused here when they showed the opening of the game at Wembley, since we're in the Philly area and the Eagles game was supposed to be on. Thankfully, they switched to that game after "God Save the Queen" (which I am unable to sing without the Eddie Izzard lyrics of "send big dogs after her, to bite her bum"). I was mildly curious about the London game but not enough to load it up on DirectTV.
So, I'm super thrilled that Pennington was benched -- he was the quarterback I had in for my fantasy team yesterday. I've decided that my team is actually cursed, and if I want someone to do poorly, I should put them into my fantasy lineup that week. So, Jets fans, I apologize.
Apparently there's an enormous American football league in Italy. I'd love for THAT to be aired here.

WHAT?! When did this happen? Noooo!
I agree that the NFL needs to focus on keeping all the teams it currently has viable before they go international. A one-off in a country full of American ex-pats really isn't indicative of any broader interest.
Hey, how 'bout them Browns!
