The Celtics are in the finals. Boston is officially sports heaven (now if only the Bruins could get their act together...)

I would just like to say that I was a little disturbed (maybe not the right word) by the number of freshman that were chosen in the NBA draft last night. What is even the point of colleges spending their time and effort recruiting these kids if they are just gonna turn around and turn pro after one year?

What is even the point of colleges spending their time and effort recruiting these kids if they are just gonna turn around and turn pro after one year? Why isn't there a minor league basketball system like there is for baseball and hockey? It seems to me that the players who really want to play basketball and not go to college might benefit from farm teams. Colleges would benefit because, for the most part, the players who are there might stay longer, either to get an education or to get the pride of playing for a school they love.

I think it the students should be required to do at least two years of college, before they can be drafted.
Heck, in one year, you can have shitty grades, but would that equate as a full college year?

So I live just steps from the stadium in downtown Phoenix, and I wanted to mention that I ran into Jameer Nelson (injured all star player) in Safeway and he was buying apples. Totally random.

A lot of the playoff games have come down to the last seconds of the game. Lots of good games.

What is it about Steve Nash that makes people want to beat the man's poor face? I saw him put his nose back in place at the end of Friday's? game. The man's tough.
