I really kind of felt like the series was setting the Flyers up as the bedraggled underdogs a bit, and even on the day of the game, Husband was like, "Flyers are totally going to win this." Maybe the producers had a feeling too. I too was SUPER disappointed when it ended. Ohhhh you're a Redwings fan; I can't talk to you. I have a minor dislike for the Flyers, just by association. However, all of my uber-Rangers fans having a burning hate-on for Philadelphia. Recently discovered that most of the planet hates Sean Avery. I have no feeling one way or the other, but MAN, people really hate him.

Blues and Rangers in the playoffs! We have a happy house. I just hope the Blues can pull it out here in Game 1...

Damn, sudden death OT in Game 7? My heart can't take this.
Well, guess I don't need to worry about that anymore. So sad for the Bruins.

I'm going for the Rangers now (at least in the east, I haven't decided if I still want the Coyotes to go), because there's no fucking way I could root for the Caps or the Flyers. (And for the record, I'm still depressed.)

I got into hockey during the Gretzky era and as a Kings fan I believed that McSorley's stick had cursed us. How many times have the expectations been high and the Kings never lived up to it. In fact, in the beginning of this season, the Kings were supposed to be a top 4 team in the west, but what do they do? They BARELY make the playoffs as an 8 seed!!! Towards the end of the season, they were playing much better, but then they go and flip a switch and basically go through an amazing run! I know the Kings fans havent suffered as much as the Cubs fans, but even being up 3-0 in the Finals, there's always that looming doubt, "something's going to go wrong. I just know it!" Then they win and you all of a sudden find yourself jumping up and down in your living room like a madwoman with tears streaming down your face.
Congrats Kings! The first championship really is the sweetest. None of the Laker championships have ever made me cry.

So, hockey fans, what do you think the chances of the season starting on time are? It sounds like everyone - players, owners and media - thinks that they may not be playing before New Year's.

Don't like the sport but feel badly for people that have a job because of this league. I don't mean the players I mean the people that work at the arenas.
