Yeah I think that they missed the opportunity for the Seattle Sasquatch. Kraken is meh and the logo is boring with just the hint of a tentacle. If you're going Kraken then go Kraken. The exhibition games started yesterday and the qualifiers start this Saturday. It's just kind of weird to see new hockey after all this time. I was watching one of the Toronto goalie's youtube about living in the bubble. Super extended roadtrip.

I like the alliteration, but I don't like team names that are singular or adjectives.
Like if you're on the Pittsburgh Penguins, as a member of the team you're a Penguin. Or a Leaf, an Oiler, a Hab, an Argo, a Jay, etc. But if your team name is Magic or Lightning or similar, what are you - a Magic?
So in my world it should be the Seattle Sasquatches, but that's kind of busy-sounding.

I'm just pissed with hockey lately. The fact that the World Juniors went ahead in Edmonton which is a covid hotspot and the news today that NHL hockey camps are going to go start with exemptions for the quarantine rule for the athletes. We'll see how that plays out but I doubt it will be good.

I feel like since football and basketball are back, they really can't justify not coming back as well. I don't know how it'll turn out, as admittedly I haven't really looked into how it's going to go down. Are they just playing in particular cities?

The interview with Kyle Beach, the Chicago Blackhawk player that was sexually assaulted back in 2010, was heartbreaking. He was failed by that whole organization. I was so disgusted this past summer, when Marc Bergevin drafted a player who had sexually assaulted someone, that I swore I would not cheer for the Habs, my former favourite team anymore. What a surprise to learn that Bergevin was part of the Chicago Blackhawks management at the time of Beach’s sexual assault (sarcasm)…
