The OT win was a thriller, but I felt so bad for Lundqvist after Martinez scored. Congrats to the LA Kings! I was at the game, about lost my voice from screaming so much! I freaking love this year's team, 2012 will always be special because it was the first, but there was something about this team that made it more special. But in all honesty, having been a Kings fan for so long (yes, Kings fan existed prior to 2012), i just kept waiting for the anvil to drop. I fully expected them to be the first team to come back from being down 3-0 in a series and at the same time, lose another series where they were up 3-0. Yes, i fully expected them to blow their 3-0 lead to the Rangers. Lundqvist was insane in this series! Not a fan of players that have the nickname "King" in it (ahem, LeBron James) but geez, i could stare at Lundqvist all day... he's seriously HOT! Go Kings GO!

NHL GoPro partnership! I am so pumped for this (if they do it right). Also, why the NHL doesn't use PK Subban as an endorser more, I will never know. They guy is a natural [/habs fan]

I'm finding myself watching a lot of hockey this season. Mostly a comforting background noise because I grew up with hockey on the tv ALWAYS. I don't really have an affiliation with any team and like watching all of them but when I was younger being from Alberta Canada the Oilers were the team my family followed. Watching the Canucks and Wild right now.
ETA: Quite the blowout happening. 6-1 Wild right now.

Double Posting! My bad. Watching the NY/Pittsburgh game. Penguins are killing it. Sidney is doing so well tonight. Hoping he's got his groove back! Malkin is, as always, having a fantastic game. Edit 1/9: I think I'm the only one watching hockey on the board. I won't post again, just add on to this last post as it strikes me. Setting up to watch the Pittsburgh/Montréal game tonight. Hoping for Pittsburg! I watched the NY/Washington game earlier today. Very exciting actually and Ovechkin is 1 away from 500 career goals. Pretty impressive. I'm sure he'll pick it up against the Senators tomorrow or the Canucks next week. Edit 1/10: Ovi got his 500 tonight. Amazing accomplishment.

The first round of the Stanley Cup playoffs is almost finished. Today was a crazy day in hockey. The team that I've mostly been following this season and I picked in my hockey bracket to win the Cup are the Pittsburgh Penguins. They've been doing great the last few months. They finished off the NY Rangers yesterday and they play the Washington Capitals next. We'll see how things turn out but I'm hoping my guys will pull it through. They've got fire in their belly. Look out Ovi!

Yes! I'm so glad the Blackhawks didn't make it through. Good going Blues!

The Penguins and Capitals are playing now. Ugh. 2-2 going into the third. Intense round two for sure.
ETA: This game is killing me. OT 3-3

My bracket is completely shot. I had the Kings and Chicago battling for the Cup with Chicago winning. Didn't really care who won since my Bruins are out but thought those two would be a good bet. Oh well. It's just something we do with the kids so only bragging rights are at stake
