My theory is that they will be this year's Canadian team that almost wins the Cup, but lets the nation down instead. Seriously, that bugs. So close, yet so far...

Obviously, you can tell where my allegiances lie.
I was surprised to see the hockey brains saying the Rangers will be dominant this season. Yes, we've got teh awesome up front, but, well, we kind of have no defense. Henrik may be the king (and a very porny one at that), but he's not God!

I can't speak for the other Leaf fans, but I have been ashamed of the Leafs for the last 7 years or so. Sadly, I think we've come to expect this level of crap from the Leafs but yet we still hope for some kind of miracle.
On a more shallow note, does anyone else besides me think that Paul Maurice is a total babe?

I don't know what he's up to these days, though. Is he still affiliated with the Red Wings? Will he coach at some point?
