Stupid, sexy Penguins.  Congrats to the Wings, though. They played a great series and deserved the Cup. Maybe next year for my boys in black. |

Old age and experience often overcome youth and talent, as the series demonstrated.
Detroit is so happy right now. With everything else going on around here, this was much needed. Pens gave the Wings one hell of a ride. The "boys in black" will definitely get their time to drink from Lord Stanley's vessel (so to speak!).

I hope so. We have a heck of a job this summer resigning our UFAs. As long as we keep our core together, I think we'll be ok.

greenjeans, I've read a couple of articles comparing this year's Penguins to the Edmonton Oilers team of the 80's. The NY Islanders beat Edmonton once because they still had their excellent core team, but the next year was when the Oilers started their dynasty.

Time will tell if they're comparable to the Oilers. It's easy to forget how young the Pens are. I think they learned alot from this series and from battling against such an experienced team as the Wings. It sure was a great series and I look forward to seeing how they respond next season.

I love the Red Wings and all but I'm really rooting for the Bruins. I really hope they can pull off Game 7.
