Forgive me; I just need to dance through the thread celebrating Delaware's victory over Delaware State, thus letting them continue on into the playoffs. Wheee!

Oh, I think that's a given. We've managed to piss away this season because we expect our two fabulous running backs to carry every single play of every game. We're just hoping that all the rumors flying around town are true, and Nutt will soon be history replaced by a certain someone. Well, 5 minutes left and I am sick. I love Early Doucet but come on! I just don't understand how this team has so many damn illegal formation penalties. Dammit to hell. ETA: WTF was that timeout? I really think timeouts should be called by players on the field rather than the sidelines. Go Byrd!! ETAA: ...sigh...

I really think timeouts should be called by players on the field rather than the sidelines. Go Byrd!! ETAA: ...sigh... Sorry indygirl. Even though my team needed LSU to lose, I know it sucks to be that close to the National Championship and lose. I think all the talk about Les Miles leaving for U of M definitely hurt LSU today. Well that, and frankly I've been wondering this season with all the close calls and two overtime losses, if Miles is really that good or if the talent there is so great that even an okay coach can't do much to screw it up. Of course, like I wrote earlier, all coaches have times when people wonder what in the world he/she was thinking, so perhaps I'm juding Miles unfairly, especially since I don't want him to be that great of a coach if he takes the Michigan job. ETA: Yes, I agree because I'm very petty, and hope that McFadden or the KU or MU quarterbacks win the Heisman instead of Tim Tebow not only because he plays for Florida but also because he would then have a very good chance to win two Heismans and I like Archie Griffin being the only person to have that distinction. I think based on statistics, since I haven't seen Florida play anyone except LSU and parts of the Georgia game that Tebow definitely deserves it, but maybe there was a lot of padding going on against weaker teams. I'm not really sure, but I think that McFadden is a great player too and going by what the Heisman voters usually go for, he seems to fit it more since without him there's no way I think that Arkansas could have beat LSU while I'm not sure if Tebow had any games like that this year. Plus, I don't like this, but it's the truth since McFadden is a junior and likely headed to the NFL after this season, I think that will give him the edge. That's not very fair because I think that Adrian Peterson should have won it as a freshman, but injuries kept him from having seasons like he did his first year, but I don't think it's likely to change anytime soon.

aibohphobia, I don't think you are judging Miles unfairly. He has made questionable calls all year and somehow managed to make them work (due to talent). The play calling at the end of the game and at the end of OT was terrible. Ugh, I felt sick after that game, and Michigan can have Miles. That said, LSU's defense has been spotty since midseason, and I am not sure how they will do if UGA makes it to Atlanta. Of course, my main team plays tomorrow night, and I hope it isn't a close one. I don't think my blood pressure can take it after sitting through the LSU/AK game today.

ITA Butternut. He has had and squandered chances to lead LSU to the National Championship game since day one of his time and he has not delivered. I can say with near certainty that he was in danger this season of not having a job here much less choosing between two. Winning the SEC West might save him, but all marches and rallies and Fear the Hat slogans aside, I don't think people will be that devastated if he went to Michigan.

Damn, that was a stressful game. I know it sucks so much for the LSU fans to be so close to a National Championship, but I can't say it's not incredible to finally see Arkansas play like the team they could have been all year.
I hope this puts McFadden back in the Heisman voters' minds.

Can we just declare this season a big fat draw? I think it's pretty obvious that there isn't one dominant team. Although Hawaii (Go Bows!) is undefeated...

Good lord...the hype for the KU/MU game is insane...Apocalypse at Arrowhead indeed. People have been tailgating out at the sports complex since 9AM this morning and the game doesn't even start till 7PM! Hopefully the stadium will still be standing for the Chiefs game tomorrow (KU/MU on Saturday and Raiders/Chiefs on Sunday - KCPD will definitly have their hands full this weekend).

I hear the security staff has been, like, tripled to keep the fans from ripping down the goalposts tonight 'cause they're needed for the NFL game tomorrow. Wish I was there!
