If the Tigers play the way they did in the first half, LPatrice, I think they'll beat Oklahoma this time -- but if they play the way they did in most of the second half, I'm afraid our goose is cooked.

I went to SMSU, and I usually am anti-Mizzou, but I was an MU fan tonight. And I will be next week too.

Yep, School of Journalism, class of '88. Proud Tiger (although basketball is what I usually follow).
My nephew's a senior at SMSU (oh, all right, MSU -- but I still can't bring myself to call Northeast Missouri Truman State or Rolla that crazy new name they've got, either, because I'm OOOOOOLLD) and usually talks a lot of smack about Mizzou, but I suspect he was cheering the Tigers on last night. Meet here again next week? ;D

They're playing Oklahoma (the only team that's beaten them this season) in San Antonio for the Big 12 championship on Saturday. If the Tigers should win, they go to the national championship. Amazing.

Wait up, Northeast Missouri State and Truman are one in the same? Duh! I have family in Kirksville. Can I just give a big shout out to my Buffaloes for pounding the final nail in Bill Callahan's coffin? Also: Dear Santa, A bowl game would be really nice this year, after 2-10 last year. I've been good. Yours, Duke.
ETA: If you didn't watch Colorado / Nebraska you missed Cartman introducing the Buffalo line-up. Probably on YouTube if you want to see.

Yup, Duke, NEMSU changed its name to Truman State University in 1995. I remember that, mostly because I graduated HS in 2000 and Truman State sent me stuff during my college search. But what did Rolla change its name to? I have a soft spot for Rolla because we stayed there on our way to Mansfield when I was in junior high. |
