I'm under the impression that riots happen more frequently after a win. I wonder if Kentucky fans were so keyed up after their season that they might have rioted anyway. Well, judging by how many of the Kentucky fans they showed crying on TV it wouldn't surprise me if they did.

I think it's a Thing in certain areas, I really have no other explanation? I went to U of Kansas, when we lose in a Final Four or Championship game everyone goes home. No rioting. Hell, in 2012 everyone was so shocked and excited that we made it to the Championship game (kind of a crappy team that year that randomly got hot in the tourney), that even after we got pummeled by Kentucky in the game, everyone still went downtown to cheer and celebrate the fact that our team was even there. ( Kentucky, meanwhile, rioted. EVEN THOUGH THEY WON.)

So basically it's a sense of entitlement? There's a lot of not-great things about the state of Wisconsin, but they tend not to riot when they win/lose.
Now, Halloween is another is another story.
