After two days of good games, today was a snooze fest. All lopsided finishes w/ 20+ pt. Edited for late games. Witcha State upset Gonzaga and Butler nearly beat Marquette..... Hope Sunday is more competitive.

Good Lord that injury Kevin Ware suffered was one of the most horrific things I have ever seen. Thoughts and prayers going out to him.

OMG. That injury was horrible! I missed it in real time. I was in and out of dozing on the couch and then I heard either Nantz or Kellogg say something about a gruesome injury. I opened my eyes in time to see the first replay. After seeing his mid calf go to a 90-degree angle, I did not need to see it again and turned away when they showed it for the second and final time. The reaction from the Louisville bench was something I have never seen before. It was a look of horror on every face.
I'm thinking nothing but good thoughts for Ware. I hear he's in surgery tonight.

A friend is a sports writer and was in Indy covering the game. He tweeted a couple of hours ago, "Ware had the bone reset, the wound from the injury closed and a rod inserted in his right tibia during a surgery that lasted about 2 hours."
A picture was tweeted out post surgery of him recovering with the trophy from the regional in the bed with him.

I had the game on in the background with the sound off, but looked up and wondered why the other players were on the floor dazed like that, but after seeing what happened, well, of course, they were shock. I wanted to vomit just seeing it on TV. Poor kid.

Pictures of Ware with the trophy. Bless his heart. He has a long, very painful road to recovery ahead of him.

When I heard "gruesome injury," I thought head split open and lots of blood. When I saw the video...bones shouldn't do that. Thanks to CBS for not continually replaying it. Hoping he has a speedy recovery.

Yeah, I can't look at or read too much detail about the injury. I feel so bad for him and am happy to hear his surgery went well. God bless orthopedic surgeons.

Compound fractures are no joke. My dad had that happen to his leg 15 years ago, and it still isn't quite right. Kevin is still young though so hopefully he has a better recovery.
