Hollywood casting director Mary Jo Slater just E-mailed me an impassioned response to Lowdown's recent item suggesting that her 35-year-old son, former Brat Packer Christian Slater, had hooked up with 18-year-old teen queen Linsday Lohan.

He was not a Brat Packer.

Back on topic--Yeah, I remember hearing that after River's death, Christian was offered River's upcoming roles in both Interview with the Vampire and The Crow, but he turned down the latter, and yeah, I think Christian donated his salary to River's favorite charities.

In that article is the first time I've ever seen a picture of his mother.

My fiance brought home Alone in the Dark a few days ago for whatever reason. He gets a Blockbuster pass and burns tons of movies. But when I saw he got this one, I told him he better watch it first to see if he really wanted it. I mean, Tara Reid plays a genius anthropologist in it---that oughta tell you right there. I watched it with him, mostly because I just wanted to be right. I made it through about an hour before falling asleep. Awful, awful movie. Was it even released in the theater?

Maybe after fighting in public with his girlfriend he decided to be spiteful and play grabass with another woman hoping that said woman would be tickled to have her bum touched by a celeb.

ETA: It would have been funny if the woman had mace or a stun gun. Heck, even if she knew a few self defence moves and dealt him a harsh blow or two.

I can't understand why people with such potential just comletely fuck their lives up. Christian has had contacts, pretty good looks and, in the begining, a promising career. He's now in the same league as Tara, just an idiot who threw away chances most people don't get.
