I used to kind of like him back in the 80s when he was working more, but then he seemed to get annoying and full of himself and started to be an ass. So by the time he did Untamed Heart, the love was gone. However, I still ended up going to see the movie with a friend of mine. We were surrounded by teeny boppers sighing over him. Of course, <when his character dies in the film>, the young girls were all upset, but my friend and I burst out laughing. That's my best memory of him in a film.

That's easy. Hollywood is a place built on illusion and delusion. To keep the fascade of 'only the best get here,' those who are chosen have their egos boosted to the point where they go from 'lucky' to 'well, I was supposed to be here anyway, just like in the movies where the hero raises from his humble beginnings to achieve GREATNESS!'

The sad truth? This is false. That whole thought process is flawed. The reason people are chosen by the system is because they have something that can be marketed for a finite time. They are not anything special, they are simply lucky to gather some attention for a time. Their attitude is merely something to keep the myth--or rather, the con--going. And when you keep thinking you're hot shit like that then you start to think you're expendable and that's another benefit of this false Hollywood mindset: it allows someone to market you and by the same turn get rid of you when you start thinking you're too big.

So when we look at Slater and all the other numerous losers to the Great Entertainment Machine, we see that they squandered opportunities. But those opportunities only existed because of that certain person's status at that time. Slater's career was never intended to make him the next 'BIG' thing. He had his time and he was disposed of in the same way as any other once-famous person was. Nobody can be stars forever. It just doesn't happen that way.

At least Christian has gotten a serious theatre career going, unlike Ms. Reid.

Has any more info been released yet? I'm wondering if Christian knew the woman, or something like that. I seriously have a hard time believing he would just go grab a random chick's ass in the street.

I think it happened in a bar. Happens all the time, and I have the ass bruises to prove it. I've never walked through a crowd in Italy without someone grabbing my ass. It annoys the heck of of me, but I've never taken retribution further than some loud obscenities and dark looks. CS is an ass for doing it, but it's hardly the worst thing in the world. God, he must have been drunk off his ass.

I wonder if it's even illegal in Italy. [/just kidding]

I think that it's awesome (and hilariously funny) that this chick reported it. I'd do the same (if there were ever any cops nearby when this stuff goes down). It's not acceptable (or legal) behavior. And I'm sure that CS thought that she should be grateful for his attention. Whatever.

Okay, so far I've learned that asses aren't safe in both France and Italy. Good thing to know if I'm ever pinched...which considering I'm six foot five and male. You just never know in Europe.

Yesterday on Extra they reported that a bunch of strippers from some club Christian goes to are standing up for him and saying that he's always a perfect gentleman at the club, keeping his hands to himself.

That's what I was thinking. He has such a reputation for going to strip joints, yet we've never heard of any inappropriate behavior there (have we?), so I found it hard to believe he'd just grab random ass on the street/in a bar.

I've always been curious about WHY this guy likes strip clubs so much. I think it has to be something more than just enjoying dancing, naked women. Maybe he gets some feeling, some validation or something, out of having a lap dancer pay him so much undivided attention. Something like that.
