If she moved back to the States, what would happen to her accent? She may have painted herself into a corner.

Waitaminit. Didn't Madonna and Lenny Kravitz work on some music project once? Hang on.
...*Google-Google-Google*...
Yup. Lenny co-wrote "Justify My Love."
This is hilariously close to becoming a round-robin tournament. All that's needed is a Cyn-Rod/Lisa Bonet liaison.

Yeah, but...as what? I like Madge, but even I think she's maxed out her fame, including the part of it that allows for social interest in whether she reworks her fame yet again. I struggle to think of anything she hasn't tried.

I struggle to think of anything she hasn't tried. I think it's time for her to hit up Vegas. She could put on an awesomely cheesy show with all of her past and present hits. I mean, she's got the gay fanbase, and she's already gone too far with the plastic surgery, so maybe she can reinvent herself as... Cher?

I get the point of this site, godknows I've taken advantage of it myself lots of times. And I'm by no means advocating censorship of what anyone posts, regardless of how stupid and tasteless it might be.
But, when it comes to letting rip on Madonna and how her grimly determined careerism turned her from the world's biggest female pop star to the world's biggest pain in the ass, I'll focus on picking apart her character flaws, thanks and leave comments about her age, appearance and genitals to asshats like Perez Hilton or whoever writes WWTDD, IDLYITW or whatever latest blog some gynophobic 14-year-old is currently milking his parents broadband to bang out. The commentary on CPMCofG has always been miles above this sort of thing, which is one of the many reasons it's such a cool board.
Speaking for myself, since I can't open a newspaper, magazine or popular website without seeing women reduced to their physical attributes or lack thereof, I'd rather not contribute to what I see as an insidious belief that women's bodies are public property, so it's fair game to pick them apart. Madonna looks dreadful most of the time, but it's her personality I despise.

If she moved back to the States, what would happen to her accent? She may have painted herself into a corner. When she got her Hall of Fame award it was practically gone. That's when I first started wondering about her marriage. I don't think I've heard her talk since then. I think she's already setting the groundwork for coming back. Spending time in NY, the Kabbalah Center, baseball, her kid wearing baseball clothes...

OT: A-Rod and his wife separated. I seriously hope Madonna wasn't involved with him. This is going to be one messy, front-page news divorce. His various affairs with strippers and her recent romantic jaunt with Lenny Kravitz are going to make this gossip fodder for months to come. And I don't mean this in "I care about Madonna because she's the nicest person on the planet way either". I just don't want to see her face on the entertainment news for anything other than her tour. Bringing this back on-topic, A-Rod's wife Cynthia is blaming Madonna for the end of their marriage- because Madonna brainwashed A-Rod with the teachings of kabbalah! Between the Christie Brinkley divorce trial and this, it's been a banner week for gossip in the NYC area papers.

OK, part of me is thinking, "HA! Suck it, Sister!" I guess you thought a 49 year-old woman couldn't possibly seduce a younger man? Well, you've just been schooled! That said, if her husband has cheated on her with Madonna or any woman, I feel sorry for her. But after reading that quote, I feel just a teeny bit less sorry. But it's probably for nothing; I don't believe this is happening. I think this is just something to keep us talking about Madonna now that her new cd's out.
