My favorite episode so far was episode 2. I bet tomorrow night will take its place, though. We finally get to go to Fangtasia and meet Pam and Eric! Yessss!

I agree that Episode 2 was the best so far. Episode 1 felt very clumsy to me and I felt that a lot of the acting from supporting characters (sexy brother, Tara, gay cook) was sub-par. As I stated earlier, I thought Episode 3 was a step back. I was really disappointed. Next episode looks really good and I can't WAIT for AS!!!!!

I’ve now watched the first 3 episodes, and I like this show for the most part. I embarrassed to say that I kind of like the porn since I’m normally a prude when it comes to on screen sex. But I just think that it adds a raw element to the series, especially when you see that hideous vampire banging Maudette on the videotape.
I really like that Bill has turned out to be enjoying his vampirism on occasion; I couldn’t bear too much navel-gazing. I don’t get why the brother is the hottest thing around either – he’s so damn stupid it hurts. And yeah he has a nice body (a little skinny for my taste), but his face is average at best.
I’m in agreement with everyone here - the acting needs improvement on the men’s side; Sookie & Bill have crazy chemistry; and Tara needs to STFU and get a line coach ‘cause she’s the weak female on the show.
I realize that this theme is a horror staple, but I’m a little annoyed at the madonna/whore thing that the show is putting out there. Every woman on this show that has been either sexually aggressive or simply not passive in her life has been killed off or beat up. Sookie got beat up for standing up for herself and someone else and Tara’s life already sucks (and she probably has endured beatings) so she’s being punished too in a sense. Maudette & Dawn both liked to fuck around and didn’t apologize for it, and now they are dead.
I liked Dawn! I want her back! She told her lover to piss off and when he didn’t she made sure that he got the hell out of her house. I love seeing that kind of moxie on TV (crazy as it can be) and am annoyed that she’s gone now.
I don’t have HBO, so I’m relying on a carrier pigeon to deliver my DivX to watch this. I won’t get to see the Swedish hunk for a few weeks probably. *pouts*

I liked Dawn too. What was up with that? Sam is weird. The vampire bar next week should be interesting.

I just caught a new True Blood season promo on HBO that was so, SO hot. Lots of Bill/Sookie stuff. I haven't been able to find it online yet, which makes me a sad monkey. Maybe it will show up after the new episode airs tonight.

Door, do you have HBO on Demand? They have the episodes available there. You might check hulu.com as well.

So...is Sam a werewolf or something? What is up with him and the dogs?
I wasn't sure if I would like this show, but the second and third episodes really sold me. Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer have hot, simmering chemistry. She's really selling that she can't sleep for thinking about him. The dialogue.
I thought that Sukie's brother is irrestible to women because he's a tiger in bed. I loved in the second ep where the deputy was timing the length of his orgasm.

I wasn't too sure of the casting of the leads at first, having read the books (which were a fun easy read), but Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer exceeded my expectations and really deliver. Their chemistry is smoking hot. I'm not too sure about the casting of Alex Skarsgard as Eric though. He kind of reminds me of skinnier looking Stephen Baldwin and looks about as powerful & intimidating as a little girl. I don't get the love for this guy.

Well, to each their own, but AS is 6'4'' and quite manly looking to me, but that's JMO. He really does it for me. Sigh. And yikes, don't see the Stephen Baldwin comparison at all...
