The French movie industry is doing its best to single out Adele Haenel as a hysteric attention seeker; big names have started openly attacking her and she’s got no projects lined up. Ever since she publicly spoke out being raped by a French director when she was a child, it seems she has lost in France. I feel incredibly sorry for her. Hopefully she can get work elsewhere and most importantly I hope she has a great personal support system right now :-(

Just watched a clip of Juliette Binoche responding to Haenel's walkout. Her take on the issue of separating art from the artist? In a nutshell, while it is horrific what happens to women on a daily basis and how women are constantly crying against these injustices, we need to HAVE PATIENCE with men. It's a man's world and they just don't see how bad things are.
