Love, love, love "Again." As to the rest, I'm kinda meh (with the notable exceptions of "If" and "Love Will Never Do Without You" -- but only because of the video on "Love Will Never Do Without You.")

I agree with the rest of the posters that she seems stuck in the 90's. Also, does anyone else notice crazy huge weight fluctuations with her? It seems like every once in a while you will see her at an awards show or something and she will look like she has gained a ton of weight and then a video will come out and she's back to those perfect abs.

I remember on something on MTV in the '90s (I don't remember what it was), Kurt Loder made the comment that Janet was always about 3 years behind Madonna. This was right around the time that the "janet" album came out. I took that to heart, and for the most part, he was right.

Janet never left the Sex-Book period though...

JJ was my hero when she threatened to kick Madonna's ass for making some snide remarks about CEMJ. Not that I don't hate MJ with a passion ('cause I do), but I never went to the Academy Awards with him in a desperate publicity move, either. Someone needs to kick Madonna's ass anyway, and I have no doubt that JJ could lay it down.

"Alright" is a fantastic song. Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis are so incredibly talented. You can't go wrong with that Minneapolis sound.

If that had been intentional, there would have been no quick flash. Janet would've whipped BOTH titties out and the Justin would've simulated sucking on them. That's what Janet DOES. And the only reason for the backlash is because she was an older woman, and it's fun for the press to hang older women out to dry. I think they're just angry that she didn't curl up in a ball and die over it. Even if she never makes another album again, she'll still be filthy rich and still be a music legend. They can't take that away from her, no matter how hard they try. And don't even get me started on Madonna vs. Janet. PLEEEEASE.

Be that as it may, though, I'm just as sick of the sex kitten act as anyone else. The strange thing is, the more subtle she is, the better the song. When she goes into overdrive, it DOES come off as SOOPERDOOPERFAKE. For some reason, Lil Kim can sing about spaking and cumming in a dude's mouth...but it just sounds so fucking WRONG coming from Janet (who hasn't gone that far...yet), even all these years later.

That said, Janet is very, very lucky that her pointy, metal nipple gizmo didn't get stuck in the red lace when Justin yanked the cup off. That could have been tragic. And painful.

I completely believe it was intentional because of Timberlake's reaction. Right after it happened, he didn't have a look on his face like "Oh, crap!" the way most people would if they had made a mistake like that. Then when they interviewed him immediately after the show, he was pleased as punch with what happened. No "Oh my God! I can't believe her outfit ripped like that!" It wasn't until he saw that people were not happy that he changed his tune and trotted out the "wardrobe malfunction" line.

rattlerbrat, first I want to apologize to you - my initial reply sounded much bitchier than I intended. I blame it on the beers. As far as the "Not that I care" remark, I meant that I don't care if Janet whips out her boob on TV every single day. Yawn.

Second, the reason that there is no red bra on the inside of the cup is that the cup was designed to tear away. She (or Justin, I can't remember which) claimed at the time that there was supposed to be a red bra underneath, but there was no bra there at all. There was just a strip of red, lacy stuff at the top of the cups. It was definitely intentional.

Plus, why was she wearing that nipple shield thingy? I suspect it was so she could claim she wasn't REALLY flashing titty.

Honestly, I think she peeked with "Janet", which was a kickass album (that's the one with "That's the Way Love Goes" and "If", right?). Now she's starting to get teh crazy.

I wonder if perhaps Joe and Katherine are related, or something, because all their kids have turned out to be batshit insane plastic surgery freaks.
