I think the fallout happened because perhaps, at the time the stunt happened, the powers that be, or the mood of the country in general, had had enough of the constant nakedness, everyone's sex and sexuality being shoved in their faces. This country has taken such a conservative turn that if ANYONE had done something like this the ax would have come down, harder or not as hard depending on who it was. Not that I think the Republicanization of the country is a good thing--quite the contrary! At any rate, maybe everyone was sick of the trashiness of things, and used her stunt as a springboard to change things. I don't think it worked; there has to be a happy medium.

I am so desensitized to the tackiness and trashiness of celebs that I forgot about the boob as soon as it happened. Wow, someone's flashing the camera. There's something new. *yawn*

I think the stunt was stupid though. And I think it wasn't an accident. And I agreed with whoever upthread stated their disdain for Justin by washing his hands of it. Ass.

Yeah, she's gained weight, I think she's always struggled with her weight, she never gets real big, just thick. But I must say, she carries and conceals weight better than most people out there.

Does anyone remember a few years ago her assistant was angry and maybe even sued her for using her (the assistant's) name for all her drug prescriptions? I think I read about it on Smoking Gun. Everything from Zoloft, Retin-A, weight-loss drugs and bleaching creams were on the list... what ever happened with that?

That lawsuit was crazy. It also revealed that she and Rene were riddled with STDs (they were on tons of drugs for them).

She is naturally such a beautiful woman. What a gorgeous smile she has. I really think that she has zero self esteem though (hence her incessant freak act). But she's a Jackson, Lord only knows what the hell happened there.

Courtney DID flash a boob that same year, didn't she? On some show or in concert or something? I saw it in a newspaper - some guy was sucking on it.

Flashing in a fast-food restaurant is certainly trashy, but can not possibly compare to flashing on live television in front of a few hundred million people.

As to whether or not it was intentional, actions speak a thousand times louder than words:
1. If not intentional, why the serious nipple armour? Who wears a large, dangerously pointed piece of metal like that under a skin-tight bustier?
2. Why did the protestions of a "wardrobe malfunction" only come after the backlash? If people had loved it, I am sure we would have seen interviews from Janet and Justin on how they planned it and how edgy and provocative it was.
