Can't stand her. It seems like she's recorded the same three songs over and over; they have nearly-interchangable structure. And, well, she dances like a Jackson. I liked her as Charlene on Diff'ernt Strokes, and it's all been downhill since then.

I clicked on this thread to post the same thing. Like her brother, it seems she ran out of creative stream a few years ago and all the stuff she's done recently sounds like a rehash of the stuff she's already done.

I used to like Janet a lot, but I've lost all respect for her for two reasons. First, I'm tired of hearing about her kinky sex life - I. Get. It. You're pierced and you like to do interesting things in the sack. Well, go do them and quite yapping at me about them.

Second - Boobgate. I wasn't offended by it, other than the fact that it was desperate and stupid. When I saw it, my first thought was, "Whoa, was that her boob?" and my second thought was "wow, she must be desperate." When you feel like you have to flash your boob at the Superbowl to get attention, it is time to either hang it up or work on your act. The only credit I can give Janet on this one is that the backlash to what happened was far, far more ridiculous than the actual stunt. There's no way she could have predicted that.

I used to admire her in the '90s because she actually wore clothes, didn't come off as a huge slut in general and there was some substance to her songs. Then she started wearing skimpy clothes and acting like a big skank and she began to blend in with the rest of the pop tarts to me. If she wants to be sexually adventurous and write some songs about that great, but when she doesn't sing about anything else it makes me think it's a bit contrived.
