I really can't believe that she is a billionaire. How the hell did that happen? I know that she had a good career back in the day, but she hasn't had any sort of hit in awhile. And even Madonna isn't a billionaire.

That seems like dubious math. It counts $300 million from her movies, and I see all of five film credits on her IMDb page. I'm also side-eyeing the dollar figures from her album sales too. Those seem more like gross sales, not just her cut.

And after taxes & her manager, she'd take home about 40%. Then there's what she spent.

The $300 mil has to be the grosses from those five movies. Four of those were Tyler Perry movies plus Poetic Justice, so the budgets haven't been huge. No way she got paid any more than $5 million, at the most, for any of those movies. And then factor in all of the expenses, and, yeah, not a billionaire.
