I was also a "Chappelle's Show" fan, but I also agree that it's overrated. It had lots of great moments, but plenty that were not-so-great. And while I saw where he was going with the racial humor, it bugged me that most of the humor seemed to be at the expense of blacks (with whites being second).

Yeah, while sometimes he did do a lot of funny things with race--I thought that failed Player Haters-in-time sketch where he blows away the slaveowner was damn funny--sometimes I wondered where he was going with some stuff. Case in point: the jury selection for R. Kelly, Michael Jackson, etc, where Chappelle started pissing on people and such. Okay, so you're going to find them innocent because they're black because of some message? Huh? It's like he retreaded that 'Fif!' sketch but it didn't work out, I didn't get the sentiment behind it outside of pure bitterness. I don't know.

If Dave has bugged out on the show, they should just change it over the "Charlie Murphy's Hollywood Stories" show. His stories were the basis for two of the best sketches (Prince and Rick James) and I'm sure he's got plenty of stories to tell.

I'd love it if Charlie Murphy got some fame out of this and got himself his own show. While his stories aren't as funny as the rest of the stuff, he shows this insider normal guy self which I found quite enthralling. You gotta have balls if you openly admit that you were beaten by Prince in full gear then react it for the audience. Just DAMN.

For me, it's that smooth, chocolate skin. I've always been a sucker for dark-skinned men. Plus his teeth are PERFECT and he always looks like he smells good. *whew!*
