Seriously. I know the vamps are supposed to be immortal vampires, but they're also supposed to be able to pass for high school students. The producers really couldn't have found anyone in Hollywood who looked closer to 18? Or even 21?
And I acknowledge that the show is called The Vampire Diaries, but I thought those were the worst parts of the show. Unnecessary and, of course, melodramatic.

I kind of wish that Hollywood had chosen to adapt The Secret Circle instead of VD. I am so over vampires in pop culture at this point. Note to producers: there are other mythical creatures and monsters for you to work with, you know!

I didn't even recognize Somerhalder, I just thought "God the evil ones are always so much more interesting." Plus Stephen has the whole brooding Angel thing, which I've seen before, on Buffy. And on Angel. I like vamps so I'll prob watch anyway, but the long, lingering looks of desire and wonder made me know I am totally not the demographic here.

New ep...seemed like last week's ep. More hypnotizing (I like the term glamour better) and snatching up of random teen chicks. This is really repetitive right now but I'll give it another week. I need some familiars (Renfield?) to show up, or someone nailed to a tree in daylight, or something a leetle more dramatic for this to transcend all the other vamp shows that ar doing it better.

I really didn't intend to watch this last night but I was waiting for Fringe to come on the other channel.....sweet baby jeebus, Ian Somerhalder is hot.

They are making it tough. I can't stand shows where 'teens' act so much like adults. And I've never seen so much eye wonk in one show. Its distracting. Sometimes the lead girl looks like she's looking in two directions. And Steffan. He looks 30 if he's a day. |
