Last week’s episode was boring with its lack of full-strength Damon. This week was much better. I even enjoyed Stefan & Alayna! I liked that Alayna was massively freaked out and scared about vampires in her town – she should be!
There’s something disturbing about my reaction to the vampires on this show – I only seem to like them when they are being forceful. I enjoyed Stefan this week because he slammed the door shut and forced Alayna to listen to him - finally getting some chemistry between these two as he leaned into her.
And Somerhalder continues to be scorchingly hot (and scary) - loved his scene with Alayna. He really is very good with the subtext. Yay! A hot guy that can act!
Can't wait to see the havoc that Miss Vicki will rain down upon Mystic Falls. She was a jacked up human; she's going to be one out of control vampire. Way to go Damon!

Isn't anyone else here watching? I am almost ashamed at how addicted I've become to the series.

It's really, really good. I love it too. All the twists and turns in the last episodes have been great.

So, prada, what'd you think about Anna turning out to be a vamp and the Alaric/Isabel/Elena connection? I totally didn't see either of those reveals coming. Either the show is that good, or I just suck at predicting plot twists.

Me either! My jaw dropped for both. I started watching the show and hated Stefan/Elena, but I find them to be a rootable and endearing pairing now. I am hooked!

I just watched Twilight for the first time last week... This show blows that crap out of the water.

I enjoy this show. The series it's based on came before Twilight (which I've never read because they sound like a bunch of crap). It's a shame that some people think The Vampire Diaries is a knockoff.

*** SPOILERS FOR 'CHILDREN OF THE DAMNED' AHEAD ***
Last night's episode was just as good as Unpleasantville. I'm really starting to like Anna now, and I actually felt sorry for her. She doesn't seem to be as irredeemably sociopathic as Damon in that she doesn't go around killing people just because. I hope she doesn't seriously try to hurt Elena, though, because I don't want to stop feeling sorry for her. But right now I want to see a reunion between mother and daughter.
Damon, though - I still don't feel a whit's sympathy for him at all. I know he was in LUV and everything, but plenty of idiots act like morons over the women who have them by the balls. Hey, I never liked Paris when he took Helen of Troy, either.
