I'd had a bad feeling for a few months now that she wouldn't make it to 100. RIP Betty. I hope you are enjoying some cheesecake with the other girls.

I am crying too hard and far too much for it actually be good for my sanity. I think this news has finally broken me. Fuck! Internet hugs! Take comfort in the fact that she lived a very long and healthy life and from all reports died peacefully in her sleep. There is no better way to pass on. Hope she's having a huge cheesecake with the other girls tonight. |

That said, Betty White was pretty healthy, apparently she was feeling good and excited for the future, she didn't have a decline in her health or mental state. She just very peacefully reached the end of her time. We should all be so lucky. |

Betty White did make it to 100. I'll argue with anyone who says we can't "round up" in her case. She did in my book. At her age, she went through 24 leap years or so, that’s an extra 24 days. Her birthday was 17 days away. To me, she made it to 100. And depending on your culture, she actually hit 100 last year. |
