Awesome! I'm going to have to tune in to see that. Even if this story is fake, I love love love the tale going around that Betty White sent a get well card to Rue McClanahan (who had a recent stroke) that said "I hope you hurry up and die so I can be the last Golden Girl. NOT KIDDING!" I love that story, too! I hope it's true.

Going to host SNL!!! Yay, I can't wait until May 8! I was one of the ones who joined the Facebook group. I wish that they would let her host the show by herself without having to have the other women "host" with her, but at least they are letting on the show. I can't wait! Ugh. I didn't know that, but I just looked it up. That sucks. There will be seven hosts on that show? Way to let the air out of my tires. Oh well.

Where you are guys getting the story about seven different hosts? I just saw stories that there might be guest appearances from former SNL actresses but I'm still getting the impression that Betty White is the host. Anyhoo I'm thrilled to see Betty White hosting. She's always hilarious in her little cameos on the Craig Ferguson show so I know she's going to do a great job even if the writing is crappy. She's freakin Betty White! Why was she never approached to do SNL before?!

My funny and awesome 89-year-old grandma is a huge Betty White fan and she was thrilled to hear BW's hosting SNL for Mother's Day. Grandma also loves Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, so she's all "Bring 'em all on!" Think I'll have a sleepover at Grandma's that night so we can stay up and watch.

I was watching Joy Behar the other night, and Betty posed for a nude playing card in the 1940's! That chick was way ahead of her time. Anyway, apparently it's in the Enquirer and Betty is pissed. I thought she looked great, and seeing that it's almost 70 years ago I'd say - bring it on!

The Enquirer story is here -- apparently David Letterman showed it when he was on her show in 1985, but she denied it was her.

Yikes, once you see Betty (allegedly), don't scroll down! She's adorable. But I can see why she'd still be mortified. She's of the generation that was never going to embrace that sort of thing.
