Did anyone else catch the season premiere? I have some mixed feelings about it -- while it is nice to see Alicia looser and with a little more fire, she also doesn't seem as thoughtful and careful as she was before. I'm sure that's completely intentional, but I really liked those aspects of her character. I hope she doesn't move too far in the other direction. It was nice to see Grace and Alicia just having nice mother/daughter interactions, but what the hell is up with that tutor? Will Grace replace Jesus with flash mobs and internet pranks? Not sure what's going on with Will and Alicia, and it seems like maybe they don't either. I wonder what Will meant with this whole "I don't really feel anything" speech he gave Kalinda. Did his feelings for Alicia fizzle once he "got" her? Or is this just a problem he has in general? The sex scene was hot though, without actually showing anything. Didn't think we'd be seeing female orgasm on CBS. Diane and Eli continue to rock. And the cast is cute - apparently Josh Charles and Alan Cumming went to Julianna's house to live Tweet together during the episode. Then Alan Cumming tweeted this picture with the caption "The next big elevator scene on The Good Wife."

I thought the tutor subplot was weird and stupid. I couldn't understand what they were trying to get across, unless it's that Grace consistently has terrible taste in friends.
The sex scene was the hottest I've seen on TV this year, and everyone had their clothes (mostly) on.
The interactions between a now-enemy Peter and Alicia were juicy. I'm excited to see them battle all season. I thought most of the characters were right on with their awesome selves, except Cary, who was a little subdued (and they've established that Cary's actually a good guy, so I don't get why he was so gung-ho about pursuing what was definitely not only a bogus murder charge, but a bogus misdemeanor battery charge, in the first place. Thought Kalinda was stupid to fall for Cary's trick, but otherwise I (as usual) loved her throughout the episode, and I love her and Sophia's buddy cop routine. I really like Sophia, and like others have said, I wish the actress weren't contracted to SVU as a series regular now, because I'd like to see her as a regular on this show. (Though I think I should mention that the new showrunning and cast choices have already made SVU about a billion times better than it's been for the past few years, and Kelli Giddish was great as a detective in the premiere, so it's not a total loss).
I'm a big Alicia/Will fan, and I thought all their little interactions and interlude were handled perfectly, but I don't like the little hints of "second thoughts" we got from each character. Just once I would like an UST-y TV couple to get together and, you know, actually have a working relationship. I hate all the cliched back-and-forth, mostly because that's just not what happens in real life, because in real life people shrug and move on when it gets that complicated and annoying. So if they split Alicia and Will up again in a matter of episodes, I'm going to be pissed. There are definitely serious issues surrounding their relationship that must be dealt with, but the setup of a cheating husband privately separated from his wife but in public maybe running for governor, while his wife carries on a secret affair with her boss, is just too juicy for words. I hope they actually let it play out and do the story justice.
Digging Alicia's hair.

I did not like Alicia's new hair at all. She either needs to wear her bangs normally or get rid of them all together. It is a shame that we will probably never see her natural curly hair. It makes sense for her character to have straight hair but I like her curls.
That tutor subplot was stupid and pointless, kind of like all of Grace's storylines. She is not a bad actress, I liked the scene where she and Alicia were watching the cooking show. I think her and Alicia have a nice but realistic mother daughter relationship. But generally her storylines are the weakest part of the show.
I also thought the case of the week was not that interesting. I liked the judge, I hope he shows up again. But otherwise the resolution seemed to come out of nowhere.
I really like Sophia too. I agree, on one hand it is unfortunate she was poached by SVU. On the other hand with her and Danny Pino joining the cast I am excited about SVU for the first time in years.
I generally don't find Josh Charles attractive at all but damn that sex scene was hot. I thought that scene with him and Kalinda was nice but I really hope that it was just them bonding and not a hint of them possibly hooking up in the future.

I don't think we will see a Kalinda/Will hook up. I don't think Kalinda would do that to Alicia again (while she may not know about the affair, she at least knows how Alicia feels about Will, so she won't go there).
I think we are just at the beginning with Grace's weird ass tutor. We know Grace will follow other people down any path like a puppy, and she will do that with the tutor. This will be her annoying storyline for the season. Unless Jackie and Owen are right about her and she develops a crush on the tutor.
Speaking of Owen, I hope he is back soon. I want to see how he reacts to the new Alicia.

I think the only possibility of something between Kalinda and Will is the possibility that maybe they hooked up in the past at some point. But I don't even see the writers going there because at some point they're painting Kalinda as pretty sexually nonchalant, even promiscuous, and that's sort of a cheap place to take the character. I definitely don't see Kalinda hooking up with Will at any point in the future. No way. If there's one thing we know about Kalinda it's that she loves Alicia and was devastated by the fallout from her past mistake with Peter.
I hope we find out more about Kalinda's mysterious past as Lela/possibly other monikers.

I didn't like Alicia's bangs either. I don't understand why JM's curly hair is anti-lawyer-y. But then I don't understand why people hate curly hair so much in the first place, or why curls are considered professional.
Anyway, I think I'm over this show. I'm tired of Super!Kalinda and all the backstabbing and shenanigans. If this is what high power lawyering is all about, then ugh. What an awful job/workplace.

Okay, so I'm still watching, mainly because Sunday is overloaded with stuff I like and Monday is a barren wasteland, so I record a few Sunday shows to watch on Monday. Anyway, Kalinda still annoys me to no end. Is there nothing she can't do? The firm takes on a tough case and they need one little factoid, and voila! Kalinda always saves the day by sussing it out within a day with her super investigation skills. Plus, does the woman own nothing but boots and leather jackets? It reeks of trying too hard.

Just started watching this in the past few weeks and am up to the third season. I really, truly like this show. It's adult entertainment and I would love it for that alone, but then they go and hire Knox Overstreet to play the pining love interest, and I'm a goner. Glad to see that it's in its 4th season as I'm looking forward to a Christmas day marathon. Anyone from this thread still watching? It's been awhile since anyone posted.

I watch it and I still really enjoy it. It's smart, and yes, adult. It's one of only a handful of shows that I watch in real time or Tivo and actually watch...the other two being Fringe and Mad Men.
