It bugs me that they're so obviously airing these out of order, Manny and Luke were already in school last week when they had the fight.

Good catch, roisin54. I just like to watch the pretty pictures, and I don't think too much! I really liked this episode. I loved when Cameron said "I forgot Cher! That's embarrassing" and Mitchell replies "Really? That's embarrassing?" I also loved Mitchell mistaking Cameron's going through a dozen eggs as "nervous eating," rather than simply breaking them. The part I liked the most was how Claire's face fell when she knew her husband was going to intrude on her first day home alone. I am a SAHM with a work-at-home husband, and her "...I just wanted to read a book..." really rang true to me.

Last night's episode had some funny moments. Lily in the Diana Ross wig (circa the RCA years) as well the rest of the pop icon photo shoot. Cameron eating his way to the frozen boo-boo bear, and later screaming like a banshee when Mitchell is on the phone with on-star. Poor proud Manny in his traditional Colombian poncho. I laughed at Gloria's reaction to the pan flute. "The poncho, plus the pan flute, plus the silly dance? My son will die a virgin!". I loved Cameron's wonderment when On-Star unlocked their car remotely - "Did that come from space?!" I died laughing because when they were unlocking the car I thought to myself, "It's so cool that the signal comes from space!" right before Cameron said that. Manny is so awesome. I loved how Gloria was supportive of the poncho, but drew the line at the stuff that would make sure that her son would never get laid. Phil is still funny, but I'm just having a hard time trying to figure out how he and Claire ended up together. She just seems pretty sharp and on the ball, while he is completely clueless and it doesn't seem like they have a lot in common. I think I like Mitch and Cam so much because despite their differences, they are the most believable couple. A couple of previews for next week."My foot's backwards!" "Wow, you did it. You actually made figure skating sound even gayer." That link also has an awesome Manny gif.

I just caught up on Hulu. I love this show. I'm sad that more people I know don't watch it because I'd love to be able to point my fingers downward and have someone exclaim 'Casablanca!'
The son in law is such a dillweed. I'm a little thick sometimes so it took me a few days to get the joke where they introduced the baby and said her name is Lily, and SIL goes "will she be able to pronounce that?" but that really sealed the notion that he probably doesn't have any redeemable qualities.

I find I am quoting this show so much lately. Me too - and I just remembered one of my favorite lines from the last episode: "We locked our baby in the car and people are judging us!!"

I just love this show so much. I don't think I have loved a show like this for a long long time. But I just hate the son-in-law so much it almost ruins it for me. He is just so creepy and wierd. The way he is with Gloria is too much. If my kid's had friends with a dad like that I wouldn't let them go over there. I kind of hope they get someone new to play him.
I almost fell on the floor when they were showing pictures of the son when he was young and so obviously not gay.

The so many ways Manny's opponent in the fencing finals didn't need to get her ass kicked. ;D
"both her parents are dead, I'm her nurse from the hospital"
all her friends from the hospital roll in
"I wish her dad made it back from Iraq to see her here"
"no, she's diabetic"

I thought Luke was especially funny in last night's episode. From the second he fell down the stairs at the prospective buyers' house, I couldn't stop giggling.
"My foot's backwards!...the floors are too slippery... I saw a ghost". Hee! That had to be the shortest real estate career in history.
Hailey had some good moments, too. The shots of her manically rubbing the battery on her head were great.
I also loved Jay's custom tee-shirts, especially 'Claire and Present Danger' with the tennis racquets. It seems like Jay is a good father in spite of his snarky attitude.
I know it's almost 2 years old, but "I drink your milkshake!" is still funny to me.
