I liked Raven, but she's a friend of a friend, so I'm biased.
And I agree about Raja... I'm still waiting for the moment when I can see him as a female impersonator or drag queen. Right now he's in league with Benny Ninja or Miss Jay... neither which I could conceive of being the next drag superstar, regardless of their specific gender-bending qualities. He can walk a runway, hell, so can Miss Jay.

Juju and Raven were way more entertaining in their bitchery. I can't co-sign on that at all. Now I loved Juju, but Raven was just rotten and nasty to the core. She had an irrational hatred and jealousy of Tatiana, going so far as to call her "a piece of shit". I don't see how Raja-or anyone else this season-compares to her. There was nothing fun or entertaining about Raven. Her nastiness, bitterness, and obsession with Tatianna was so off-putting, I couldn't even appreciate her drag skills. You're right that Juju and Raven shouldn't be in the same category. For me, it's not that Raven was a particularly nice or likeable person (I was actively rooting against her at certain points), as much as she occasionally had, I don't know, some flashes of wit? Like I remember moments where she made me laugh, even if I felt guilty and horrible for laughing afterwards. I guess I was trying to find the word Hamatron used to describe Raja - joyless. |

Yeah, Raven was pretty bitter. Raja may be sold as the mean girl, but I don't get any bitterness from her, and she doesn't have the big, insecure chip on her shoulder like Shannel from season one. While it is nice that we don't have any bitter, nasty people around, we also don't have fun people like Juju, Pandora, and Ongina. And still no one has come close to my personal favorite, Nina Flowers. You would have thought someone like Delta would have been serving us some funny commentary, but sadly...no. Speaking of Nina, I went to see her show last month, and I had my pic taken with her. Oh, she was SO sweet, I'll be a fan for life. |

I'm jealous. And that's why I love her - she was entertaining, I dig her look, and she seems like a total sweetheart.

I loved Shangela's comedy routine. Yara (the one who played a little person?) may indeed be slightly insane. This show is pure, unadulterated entertainment. Is season 1 online?

Yes - the first two seasons are all on Logo's site.
I don't know why Shangela won the reading challenge, though she deserved to win the stand-up portion.

That was the most amazing lip sync for your life ever. Dang, Manila.
Also, Raja finally shows a bit of humanity in this week's untucked. It was sweet to see her friendship with Delta Work, and she actually looked really pretty in her Carrie costume.
I am rarely aware of Yara on this show, but when I am... I see crazy eye. She comes across as really nice, but still a little insane.
I could not stand Alexis Mateo's routine. It was dumb. But I think I am still rooting for her. I kind of want to give everyone this week a pass because standup is really hard and often very very unfunny. Also, none of them could throw shade during the reading challenge.
And really? I think I would be cool with any of the remaining ladies winning it. Even Shangela. Well, maybe not Carmen. She's pretty, but not much else.

I'm not sure how Mateo's lasted so long. I've never seen her excel at any challenge at all. And I agree, Manila rocked the lip sync!

Yeah, there's no way Mateo will win, but for whatever reason I like her. I thought her Alicia Keys was awesome, and she can be surprisingly funny sometimes. Her lip sync last week was decent.
I am guessing that the final two will be some combo of Raja, Manila, and Shangela. Actually, I would be surprised if it wasn't Shangela vs. Raja.
