I think Alexis Mateo isn't technically great, but she always looks like she's having SO MUCH FUN. That goes a long way. And yeah, her Alicia Keys was hysterical.
I'm not a fan of Manila, despite her amazing capacity to lip-synch.

I know! I'm not a big Manila fan, but sweet Jeebus, she made that freakin' otherworldly!
I still think Raja deserves to win. Love her or hate her, she's in a class all by herself drag-wise.

I love Manila, just because they were trying to make her Asian characters about her being racist, which I think is bullshit. Like Shangela wasn't delving into racial stereotypes in that comedy routine?
I guess I just don't like that Shangela has been treated like the baby that needs nurturing during this competition. If he can't sew, can't do makeup, can't do hair, what in the hell can he do? Aside from looking passable in drag and having a personality, I'm not seeing the brilliance. Ru Paul needs to stop protecting this troll. It's apparent that Ru makes all the voting decisions, and it's like he's already decided.
Manilla did a most excellent lip sync... that moment when it transitioned from ballad to disco, and Manilla transitioned from sad to insane was awesome. I love me some Manilla. I hate to see Delta Work go, but aside from being Big Girl Beautiful he didn't really show much sparkle. I like that the Heathers are close though, and I'm rooting for Manilla and Raja now.

Manila's lip sync rocked for sure. Her over-the-top impressions were funny to me (they're drag queens, after all) but is there really some legit backlash from the Asian community, or is this just Web chatter?
Also, whoever (Raja?) did the Carrie routine needed a rhinestone-studded costuming award. That has "Best Halloween Costume 2011" written all over it.
I kept wondering where you guys were getting inside info so quick...I had no idea this aired on Logo Mondays and then Vh1 on Tuesdays. I'm pitiful.

I suspect that it will come down to Shangela and Raja too. With Shangela winning. Because Ru has his pet every season, and it is clear that Shangela is the current pet. I hope Ru will surprise me, but I doubt it.
And that is the one bummer about this show -- you know Ru's pet will win, regardless of whether or not she deserves it. The first season was pretty fair and Bebe was pretty good, but it seemed clear to me that the only reason why Nina didn't win was because Ru was not going to crown a genderfuck queen (and the fact that one hasn't been cast since supports that theory). Ru clearly adored Nina and fell all over her at the reunion special (while almost ignoring Bebe), but Ru only wants glamour/realness.
The second season was kinda worse on that count with Tyra winning. Yes, she was pretty and could walk a runway, but that is it.

I'm glad Delta's gone--she sure talked a lot of smack about the "boogers," considering she was the only one who had been in the bottom 2 three times. I hope Carmen goes next--I'm just not seeing what she brings to the table, other than being almost naked.
After the first episode, I thought for sure Manila would be in teh final two, but I feel like she gets worse as the competition progresses.
I love Yara Sofia; she's crazy, but in a cute way. I thought it was sweet of her and Alexis to help Shangela with her make up. I loved her response when Shangela explained how she usually applied foundation: "What? No! That's all wrong!" (I'm paraphrasing)

Ugh, again with the Heathers crap?
I completely understand the girls frustration at Shangela for not knowing basic sewing/make-up skills. But, at the same time, I don't get why Raja disses her for lacking in drag fundamentals when Raja doesnt even seem to be trying in certain areas and acts all above it. I have to give Shangela credit for genuinely trying to improve her weaknesses this episode. Reality shows love a transformation arc. Plus, she does have more personality than almost anyone else.
My guess for the final three is either Raja/Shangela/Yara or Raja/Shangela/Manila.
Either way, I'm assuming the win comes down to either Raja or Shangela. Which bugs a bit because it seems like they're the queens that need the win least -- between Raja's massive industry connections as Sutan and the fact that Shangela is landing so many acting gigs (Terriers, Detroit 187, etc).
Based on Untucked, Delta's elimination could not be more deserved. WTF is her shit about acting above LSFYL?

That was exactly how I felt a month ago when huntergrayson turned me on to it as well! I KNOW!!1!
I wanted Delta to stay longer -- of COURSE I relate to the sad, insecure fat chick who sucks up to the popular girls even though she's out of their league -- because she had fantastic sewing/costume skills. And even her lip sync would've been awesome... if Manila hadn't been so much more totally awesomer. I think Yara Sofia should've gone before Delta, but based on their performances with the last ep, I gotta admit, Delta's was the weakest. Hunter, I don't think she was acting above LSFYL per se... I think it was just the crushing insecurity which lends itself to the "why bother, I'm gonna fail anyway" mentality. But bitch? You are on RPDR. Suck it up and GO LIP SYNC... FOR YOUR LIFE!

bklynred, Shangela was trying to make an issue of Manilla portraying an Asian stereotype that wasn't organic to Manilla's type of Asian, which is philipino... she was clutching her pearls at the insensitivity of it all. But IMO Shangela was walking that same razor's edge with the comedy routine.
