I enjoyed it, too. Ditto to the Ava weirdness and love for Raylan's WTF? faces.

I was totally enjoying this until I fell asleep about 3/4 of the way through. Dang it! I hope it's on OnDemand tonight.

I really liked this too.
Ava was weird, but I chalked it up to someone being naturally kinda weird, but also a bit unhinged because she had finally shot her abusive husband.

A hilarious, spoilery interview with Timothy is linked. The interviewer mentions the walk. TO has such a sexy, odd walk. The spoilers sound pretty good. Justified has a high spot on my Tivo Season Pass.

This show is so much fun! Shirley, Cooper, and cousin/lover Dupree all cracked me up! "We can have a discussion of the merits of sex toys later!" I also giggled when Shirley told the woman her boobs looked nice and the woman thanked up all while Shirley is tying her up. The scene with Raylan and his boss after Raylan was tied up was pretty good as well.
Boyd found God. Of course, he did. This isn't going to end well is it?
So far the convicts are portrayed as being just as smart as Raylan which I like. Cooper screwed up but Raylan does as well so it all balances out.
Some at IMDB (I know I know) have whined the show taps in southern stereotypes but you know, from my personal experience, I have to say the portrayal of small southern towns is pretty dead on. At least in my experience you have some really decent people, which the show acknowledges, and the dumb crazy rednecks that make everyone else look bad. Ok, they went there with the cousin hookup tonight but I've ran into those as well.

Since I was born and raised in rural eastern Kentucky I can authoritatively comment on the perceived stereotyping. People need to get over the outsiders = evil way of thinking and not cry foul every time eastern Kentucky is depicted in a less than perfect light. I'm sick of the bellyaching! This show has done a pretty decent job representing us IMHO. For example, Raylan is smart, well-spoken, funny, sexy, and handsome as hell. Ava and Winona aren't doormats, and they don't take crap from any man. Criminals haven't all been slack-jawed yokels either. Raylan deduced that Boyd uses that "Nazi bullshit" as a cover for his pyromania and greed. He is smart and wily! The local cops haven't been idiots either. The Lexington crew (although not technically part of eastern Kentucky) are competent and smart and seem to be ethical. It seems like Elmore Leonard and writers have taken pains to write a balanced portrayal of Kentuckians. Much ado about nothing.

This is an attitude many Southerns in general have and it gets on my nerves (and yes I'm born and bred in the South!). Listen my people! A person telling you how did something back in their part of the country is not criticizing your of doing things necessarily! People need to get a grip!
My only complaint with this show continues to be Ava. She borders on stalkerish. I wonder if the show is attempting to portray her as a bit messed up in the head because she abused for many years and perhaps is clinging to Raylan because he represents a time when life was simpler.

Loving this show! Mr. Olyphant is soooo sexy...growl. And the show is actually really good. I particularly love the dark humor. Ava is obviously a little off, but I don't mind. I don't know if I could keep my hands off of Raylan either. Hee. Can't wait for the next episode.
