For some reason, I've thought TO has been sucky in movies. Thought he was horrible in the My Next Door Neighbor is a Porn Star, or whatever that movie was with Elisha Cuthbert, not great as a villain in the Die Hard movie, etc. Now, maybe he's just getting crappy movie scripts (I'm sure he is, actually), but I didn't feel him in any of those roles. BUT, I loved him on Deadwood, and he's also pretty hot on Justified. Maybe he's better on a smaller screen, or just good with good material, or I have a thing for cowboy hats, or I'm completely wrong, but that's my thought. I haven't seen those movies. I loathe movies like Die Hard and wasn't interested in the other. Actually I'm a bit of a snob about movies; I don't waste my money or time unless I'm really drawn in by a preview or performer. My first exposure to TO was via Go. Then I forgot about him until he popped up on Damages. Although he had small roles in both he really stood out. The guy has "It" in spades. When I heard about Justified my curiosity was piqued by the connection to Kentucky. Then I saw a preview and remembered TO from Go and Damages.

oh yeah, I forgot about Damages. I liked him on that, but yeah, it might just be about the cowboy thing for me.

Anyone else still watching? I'm still pleased with the show for the most part. My main grip is with Ava; she's desperate and stalkerish. Please tone her down.
I look forward to meeting Raylan's father. The upcoming episode will probably be one of the more interesting; hopefully they'll explore Raylan's life and mine the tension between him and his father.
So far I've really enjoyed the sly humor. How could anyone not chuckle when Raylan and Rollie discussed Hermey and Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer while they were in the middle of a showdown with a hitman. I suspect the "little gay dude" remark was thrown in by Olyphant. Bravo, Timothy! ;D

I'm still watching. The humor is really good.
I kinda hate they've thrown Ava & Raylan together, but I'm hopeful she won't be as desperate & stalkerish now. She got him where she wanted him. Let's limit her screen time to the bed. Added bonus. Shirtless Timothy!

I'm glad Dupree called him out on that hat. It's sexy as hell but totally not standard issue.
This ep (Long in the Tooth) was chockfull of dark humor. I felt bad for the hit guys as soon as they pulled guns. TO does not warn people a third time, this bit of info should really circulate faster among criminals.

She's totally right: if he weren't a handsome white man he wouldn't get away with as much as he does. Raylan has killed four people four episodes in. I hope he doesn't keep up this pace. How many people has he killed? I know the killings were "justified," but the body count seems excessive. I highly doubt U.S. Marshals kill that many people. We get it: Raylan is a renegade. Blah, blah, blah. Raylan doesn't need to kill to remind us how bad-ass he is. Breaking Dewey Crowe's nose twice accomplished that. Sexy, smoldering Raylan is a good thing. Ditto to funny, charming Raylan. More please. But please rein in shooting renegade Raylan. We don't need to be hit over the head.

The third episode really was not very good and I wondered if the show was already sliding, but this past episode totally made up for it. I love that the bad guy was inspired to be a dentist by Hermie the elf in that Rudolph Christmas special and Raylan referred to Hermie as "That little gay dude."
