I LOL'd when Raylan screamed "Raleigh, are you trying to tell me you're gay?" I also couldn't get over how naive and in love the dentist's assistant was. Your man has issues, and pulling out teeth without anesthetic is definitely one of those red neon light-type signs to prove it.

The dental assistant was ridiculous. At first, I thought she was acting naive as a red-herring, but she was really as naive as she sounded. I lmao when she got food poisoning. Everything about this girl screamed set-up, but that was just her.

I loved the humor in this one. Husband and I had to pause it a few times to get over the laughter.

I loved the humor in this one. Husband and I had to pause it a few times to get over the laughter. My second favorite part was Raylan's cheesy grin (when he entered the hitmen's car). That killed me.

Heh, I forgot about that part. Cracked me up. My husband likes this show because it's just close enough to a western for him. Cowboy hats and renegades, I guess.

Poor Raylan. His family is psychotic white trash. I can see why he left. "Aunt Helen" is quite a character.

That was intense. I didn't think we'd meet his dad already. I wonder what the deal was with his natural mom. I thought Aunt Helen would be really distasteful but I ended up liking her. His dad on the other hand...

For some reason I cracked up when the fugitive's wife snapped at Raylan that she knew she shouldn't have trusted him and all Raylan said, "Well, at least your back yard looks good!"
It wasn't until this episode that I really saw what Winona meant when she declared Raylan one of the angriest people she's ever known. Raylan can clearly carry a grudge and there were parts of the episode that it seemed Raylan was just barely keeping his temper restrained.
Ok, I don't think Ava is long for this show. Her hookup with Raylan happened rather quickly and it's been rather smooth sailing. Me thinks her father-in-law is going to kill her leading to Raylan really freaking losing it or she's forced to flee town leaving Raylan behind.

Raylan's father is a manipulator. I bet he constantly played Raylan, and the mother was there to pick up the pieces. When she died, Raylan split, finally able to leave Kentucky. Now, he's back & has to face the demons again.
I think Raylan will end things with Ava. It really wasn't the smartest move on his part to sleep with her in the 1st place.

Christ on a cracker, Timothy Olyphant is hot. The way he sat there smoldering on Ava's front porch and then just hard core macked on her. Dayum. All of that hotness was only due to him though. He really does have much better chemistry with Winona. Can't wait to see that take off - and you know it will. He was all clenchy and pissed around her. He is cool around every situation and every person, except for Winona. She is under his skin permanently, and that will make for some good moments. sardonictart, I don't know if you've seen Deadwood or not, but if you like "smoldering" and "clenchy", you'll love Seth Bullock. I don't know if I'd like Justified as much if they'd chosen a different lead actor, although I do like his coworkers. Also, the show's humor may be the reason I like this (and Rescue Me) more than other FX offerings.
