Speaking of humor, I appreciated Raylan's faux hurt feelings in the van when his partner mentioned wanting to kill herself on stakeout with him.

Love this show. Olyphant is perfect in this role and the rest of the cast hasn't hit a false note yet, either.

I love how this show just nails rural southern living! For example, Winona took up with the reel-A-tor instead of the reel-tor! Another that stands out is when the prison gang band finished their song someone yelled, "Free Bird"!
I'm not surprised that Gary may be in some deep doo doo. I'm just wondering what exactly he did. Winona clearly suspects something. She was clearly shocked when Raylan told her the names she gave him turned out clean. Can't wait to see where this arc goes!
Again, this show's weak spot is Ava and Raylan's relationship. The actors just do not have chemistry. Supposedly, these two are so sexually attracted to each other that Raylan is risking his freaking career for roll in the hay with her. Yet the chemistry just isn't coming through. So, I really don't get why he's taking such a big risk. Also, once again, I really don't think Ava is going to be around much longer. Her little speech about dreaming moving to Lexington and starting over in a place that doesn't know who she is just smacked of foreshadowing.
I didn't see the twist of what the Doctor (Voyager watchers know what I'm talking about!) was doing to the Hitler paintings coming. Clearly, Raylan didn't see the dude actually destroying the paintings coming either.
Wonder what Boyd found on Arlo. I also wonder if Raylan should be scared of all of Boyd's Jesus talk.

Boyd is spooky. So are both of the actors' veneers but I still think Olyphant is cute.
I thought the collection would be memorabilia for sure. They took it to another level, but I liked all the tie-ins with the pretty woman going up to the big house, and a man consumed with hate for his father.

I am holding on to the hope of TPTB casting Molly Parker[/color] (Alma Garret from Deadwood) as a love interest for Raylan. Now there's some chemistry for ya. This episode was very "Hey! It's that guy!" - Angelaudie mentioned the doctor, plus Goodwin (from Lost) and Con Stapleton (from Deadwood again). Yay for character actors! I really appreciated Raylan's shirtlessness this week.

Heh. I kinda like Ava. I think Raylan hooking up with her has a more natural feel than his mopping after his ex wife, which he is also doing. There's not crazy love between Raylan and Ava, it's just two people who are attracted to each other but also know that this relationship is not going to last long. I have a feeling that Winona's husband is going to turn into a douchebag and that Winona will ulitmatelty fall in love with her ex husband and I don't like that angle at all. Too cliched/played out and even less chemistry there.
Oh Alma and Seth brought the chemistry in Deadwood. I was actually rooting for them, despite his character being married to his wife (and former sister-in-law). Too bad Deadwood was cancelled before we could see how it was going to end.
I like Tuesday's episode. The banter between the two marshals is hilarious. I still don't care for the cases they feature though. I want it to be more of a show about the main characters because that's the best part of it.

If you've never seen Deadwood I highly reccomend it, not just because of the Seth/Alma chemistry but because it is a really really good show with plenty of wit and strong characters. Was a good show actually. Which reminds me why I still hate HBO for cancelling it. Suckers.
The pretty sure doesn't hurt.

That completely surprised me too. And I LOVED that character for it. What a twist!
Ava as a character is growing on me. I like that she doesn’t milk the damsel in distress thing and stands up for herself. I also think that Raylan and Ava are just together because there is no one else. He is totally mooning over his ex-wife, but I’m okay with that. If any show can do justice to a cliché, it’s this one.
