I voted for Romney, I like Mitt Romney, I thought he would be good for the country. I am not really an Obama supporter, but my thought is the presidency has limited control over what they can do. I also think a lot of people believe in free wealth, mostly because I've had to scratch and scrimp for everything I've got. But that doesn't mean you and I can't see eye to eye over stuff, which I know we have. It's all a part of diversity... He doesn't seem so bad to me.

OT: LurkerNan, our differences are what make the board so lively. (And hell yeah, we have lots in common!) Right now I'm very tired of politicians in general, on both sides of the aisle. I didn't think Romney was evil, but I do find it offensive when, even now, folks are still asking where Obama was born and not recognizing that he's undoing a lot of damage that previous heads (of both parties) have inflicted on the country. It's all very tiring and illogical to me to think that anything can be done without bipartisanship. I seem to be in the minority about that though, so I usually avoid political talk in general. If someone's beliefs are firmly entrenched, it will only raise my blood pressure and accomplish very little; I'm never going to change his/her mind. To bring it back to Justified, Nick Searcy seems to have that 'my way or no way' vision that is very frustrating. No one person can save America. That's just not going to work. Ditto Alec Baldwin, who troubles me as a Democratic mouthpiece. I don't know any Dems that talk like he does, thank God. At this point, I'm less concerned with this one actor's political beliefs than his followers, who dance dangerously close to sexism, racism & other rank stuff in the name of conservatism, which doesn't do anyone any good. I think the show even now is very underrated (has anyone besides guest stars won Emmys?), and the Art/Raylan relationship remains a very, very good one. I tried not watching any of his scenes last night and needless to say that didn't work, lol. He plays Art very well. I like his Art Mullen. I do not particularly care for Searcy. Before we get scolded by mods, I'm all for discussing this more via PM (anyone who's interested). It's not my favorite thing to chat about, but I don't want to sidetrack the thread totally and get a smackdown (why do those scare me so?).

Two days ago I started following him on Twitter and....woah. I seriously thought he was joking at first but his tweets are INSANE. What an angry, angry man.

I am going to have to pretend I never saw any of those tweets. Art is a great character, and Nick Searcy is a great actor, but it seems like he's a pretty terrible person who wouldn't be very nice to me on account of my religious beliefs (or lack thereof).

I haven't had much to say about this because I just generally enjoy it (and limited Nick Searcy, yay!). Dewey and Dickie are two of the dumbest f*cks I've ever seen onscreen (minus the guy who tripped last night). I need Boyd and Ava back together ASAP, this has gone on long enough. The only real misstep I've seen the show make is with the Winona situation. I'm worried about Kendall and need Raylan to generally get his act together, and hellllo, where are Gutterson and Brooks?
All nitpicks. I'll watch this till the end.

Dewey is so stupid but I think I like him more than Boyd.

Between Dickie & Dewey, Raylan just had to sit back and wait for them to ruin their own sh*t. Moronic.

I haven't been feeling this season all that much, though it had a couple moments. I am pleased as punch that the final season is going to be Raylan vs. Boyd fulltime. I just want them both to get out of it alive, please.

Damn, I didn't see the Crowes going out quite like that!
From everything I've seen in magazines etc., it sounds like the main cast is also cool with getting back to basics.
And yay, Gutterson & Brooks got sparkly airtime!

Anyone else watch the series finale? It was so well done, and I got very nearly everything I wanted. Can't have everything I suppose. Timothy Olyphant's last scene almost made me cry. Man, I'm going to miss this show. I'm going to miss Raylan Givens and miss staring at TO regularly. But, that's what my DVDs are for!
As I reflected on the fact that this series was ending over the past week, I realized that this has been my favorite show from nearly the last decade of TV that I've watched. My love for this one matches my love for Alias and is only surpassed by my love for Buffy tVS, which is my favorite TV drama of all time.
