I rarely see movies and when I do, I usually have to take a bathroom break as I get bored or frustrated. I saw Free Guy and enjoyed it immensely.
I am a gamer however so it had extra context for me, you don't have to be a gamer to enjoy the movie though. I agree with FiggyPudding, it's hard to discuss this movie without spoiling it.
It was very charming, had me laughing outloud, and I didn't leave my seat once.

I saw it and I am not a gamer and I knew absolutely nothing about it. I enjoyed it thoroughly.

Love Ryan Reynolds. Love gaming. Love The Who. What’s not to love?
Except it’s at movie theaters during delta variant. I guess I’m waiting until it’s on HBO.

We went to see Free Guy. It was our first movie theatre movie in almost 2 years. Movie was good, funny. Popcorn was great!

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings was very enjoyable. I wasn’t particularly interested in seeing it based on the trailers, but I heard it was good and wanted to support the cast. The characters had heart, and the fight choreography was beautiful. I loved the mythical creatures.
There are two end credits scenes; one during and one after.

We also saw Shang-Chi and my thoughts are as follows: 1) Michelle Yeoh looks EXACTLY the same as she did in Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon and played the 'aging auntie' there too...how has she looked the exact same level of 'not young' for twenty years? Dang. 2) Awkwafina has really carved out a niche for herself and I respect it. 3) I have to think that Simu Liu was cast for reasons related to either his language ability, pre-existing popularity in other countries and/or some pre-existing martial arts training...he wasn't exactly terrible but he has NO charisma and is perfectly average looking. I kept watching him and wishing they had cast Rene Gube whose comedic ability would have really punched things up IMO. Although then it would just be a different movie, especially since Gube is (I think) Filipino. 4) As you say, FiggyPudding, the fight choreography was really beautiful and it was nice to see that aesthetic in such a mainstream movie. 5) I notice and appreciate that they were deeply fuzzy on what exactly the rings do other than 'cool shit.' 6) There was one very brief moment where it looked like {Spoiler}Shang Chi was going to give his sister half of the rings and I thought it was extremely bogus that he did not!

Dune. Loved everything about it. Rebecca Ferguson is an absolute goddess and should be in all the things. Oscar Isaac is so hot it hurts and Timothee Chalamet finally impressed me.

I am not a huge SciFi or movie theater-goer, but I have wanted to see this one in the theater. Since I am fickle, though, I knew lukewarm reviews would make me change my mind. So I am excited to hear it is good! (Also, Oscar Isaac totally does it for me. I need some of that. As much as possible, preferably.)

The French Dispatch. Not my favorite Wes Anderson (convinced nothing will ever beat The Royal Tennenbaums for me), but if you like Wes Anderson it's delightfully Wes Anderson.
