Enjoyed it so much. I do want to reassure everyone who hasn't seen it yet that there is a scene in which Tom Cruise runs with his arms furiously pumping. I do think that if, in real life, you adopted the exact same facial hair, head hair, and career path of your tragically deceased father you would be psych-tested right out of the opportunity to fly a billion-dollar plane but: whatever. That is a great point! Saw it yesterday and loved it so much. The opening sequence made me so happy. My only complaint: not enough “Danger Zone”! 😁

My only complaint: not enough “Danger Zone”! 😁 I would've loved at least one use of Take My Breath Away, if you're gonna go nostalgia, let's go all the way. Otherwise, no complaints, it was a great, fun movie. And I burst out laughing at the obligatory Tom Cruise running sequence. Miles Teller really does resemble Anthony Edwards as Goose, it's one of those things you'd never think of until you see it.

I haven't been paying attention to most of the marketing for this so I had no idea he was playing Goose's son until I saw a production still the day before I saw it.

The actress who played Phoenix was not at Cannes or the Royal premieres a couple of weeks ago. Or at least I didn't see her in any of the photos Tom and Lorenzo posted. It was basically Jennifer Connelly and a sausage party, which is a shame since Phoenix had one of the bigger roles.

She's filming a Netflix series with Arnold Schwarzenegger right now, so she probably couldn't get away for the premieres.

Oh, Greecies, I’m so glad you’re all in for Top Gun 2! I want to see it, but I considered not going because I generally don’t like Tom Cruise since his Scientology wackiness/harm. I’ve been really torn, but I think I’ll just go see it!

As weird and harmful as he can be, he's still really damn good at being a movie star. Also the flying scenes are all really cool (I'm easy to please that way.)

Top Gun Maverick Just coming in to say what everyone else has, it's fantastic. I think that if you didn't see the original then it wouldn't have had the impact that it did but it would still be an enjoyable summer blockbuster but coming in having seen Top Gun back in the day it was a pretty amazing sequel that was surprisingly emotional. I'll be seeing it again. Thanks, crazy Tom Cruise!
