I absolutely adored Call me by your name; it’s the only movie I’ve seen this year that has left its mark and I can’t wait to see it again. The age thing didn’t bother me at all tbh. I can see why it might be a problem for others (it seems to be in particular a problem for Americans, which I get). And Timothée is phenomenal in this. I know he won’t win the Oscar but his performance will be a fave of mine forever.
Well it is a country founded by prudes. Apparently there weren't any issues with 17-year-old Baby and 25-year-old Johnny in Dirty Dancing though.

It was after work on Friday. It was the beginning of summer. It was supposed to Hot Shirtless Guys!!!
I was wrong. So very, very wrong.
On topic:
The SAG Award Winners now seem like very definite front runners for Oscar, since they were the same ones who won at the Critics Choice Awards and the Golden Globe Awards. This used to be an exciting race. Now, without even the nominations, it seems pre-ordained. Let's hope for some suprises tomorrow morning!!!

I have friends who are seriously divided on Three Billboards. I thought it was fine, but not deserving of best picture. I also don't think Gary Oldman was all that as Churchill (and it pains me to say that).
I'm not thrilled about Gary Oldman winning myself, but he's got an Oscar-bait twofer so it's basically inevitable: he's playing a real person and he had to severely alter his appearance to do so.
